XDRMonitorControl v0.2.0
XDRMonitorControl v0.2.0 — universal (Apple Silicon + Intel) build.
What's new
- New app icon.
- XDR extended brightness — on the MacBook Pro Liquid Retina XDR and Pro Display XDR, drag the brightness slider past 100% for 150%, 200% and beyond. The slider's red zone is the extended range. Use Reset to Standard Brightness or Disable XDR Extended Brightness in the menu to go back to normal.
- About page redesigned — correct app title, a link to this fork's repo, a large Buy Me a Coffee button, and a link back to the original MonitorControl repo.
- Update feed — Sparkle now checks this fork's own releases, EdDSA signed, so you'll be offered updates automatically.
Installing
The build is ad-hoc signed (no Apple Developer certificate). If macOS blocks it on first launch, right-click the app and choose Open, or run:
xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/XDRMonitorControl.app
Warning
XDR extended brightness drives your display above its standard maximum. That increases heat output and shortens battery life on laptops.
Based on upstream MonitorControl 4.3.4.
