Checkpoint 0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@shayanxcyber shayanxcyber released this 23 Oct 09:41

HTTPX clients can now use Checkpoint's recording broker through an optional sync or asyncio transport. Export opens a searchable file review with readable response bodies, stored headers, source files and hashes. Saving verifies that the reviewed contents have not changed.

The new invoice walkthrough records a local billing client, reproduces its validation failure after the service stops, and completes a corrected input branch. Both observations can be reproduced from their exported ZIPs.

  • Windows x64 and Linux x64 packages, plus the Python 3.11+ SDK wheel.
  • 21 interface tests, 17 SDK tests, engine tests, Go vet and Linux race checks passed. Both extracted native archives passed five reproductions each, including the offline HTTPX case.
  • Older SDK recordings remain inspectable. For executable export or replay, use their original compatible release or make a new recording with v0.2.

v0.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@shayanxcyber shayanxcyber released this 18 Oct 19:04

The browser demo now opens with a guided investigation: find the failure, inspect the replacement input, see the result and compare both runs.

  • Fixed Investigations and branch panels moving after their opening animation.
  • Fixed narrow comparison panes, small text and change highlighting. Added an expanded view and stacked values on smaller screens.
  • Added clear return/restart controls, missing-output messages and local setup actions.
  • Refreshed the fictional recording and added recovery for older demo links.

Checked with 14 frontend tests, 7 SDK tests, Go tests/vet and Linux race tests. Both extracted Windows and Linux packages passed record, replay, branch, export and reproduction checks.

The browser demo displays recorded executions. Install a package below to run your own workflows.

Checkpoint 0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@shayanxcyber shayanxcyber released this 17 Oct 13:04

Checkpoint 0.1.1 fixes selected-source validation when a workflow directory has an unresolved or aliased path. The SDK now normalizes the directory before checking containment. Portable relative paths and source-escape rejection still apply.

Windows x64 and Linux x64 packages include the interface, fictional examples and Python SDK wheel. Python 3.11+ is required. Fresh installations on Windows and Debian completed record, replay, input experiments, a separate file-backed workflow and three exported reproductions per platform.

Windows/Linux checks with Python 3.11 and 3.13 passed. Try the recorded investigation or follow the README to run your own workflow locally.

This is trusted local Python execution. Replay covers explicit SDK HTTP calls; the browser demo supports inspection and comparison.

Checkpoint 0.1.0

@shayanxcyber shayanxcyber released this 17 Oct 12:54

Checkpoint 0.1.0 is a local investigation workbench for explicit Python workflows.

Record a failed run, inspect its step inputs and supported HTTP, execute a strict replay, create an immutable input experiment and compare its result with the original. Export either an inspection bundle or a runnable reproduction with explicitly selected code, data and recordings.

The release includes Windows x64 and Linux x64 binaries with the interface embedded, fictional examples, an installable Python SDK and checksums. Python 3.11+ is required. The recorded browser demo supports inspection and comparison; execution stays on your computer.

The packages were tested through clean Windows and Debian-container installations, including a separate file-backed workflow and three actual exported reproductions. Recovery checks include real engine interruption, supported descendant cleanup and uncertain external outcomes. Measurement method, hardware and raw samples are in docs/performance.md.

Start with the README. Only explicit SDK HTTP is replayed; this is trusted local Python execution.
