RatchetPort V1.3 — Verified Preview
Verified Preview version-label correction for CUSA01047 USA 01.00.
Download RatchetPort-V1.3-Verified-Preview-Windows.zip. Extract into a new folder and open RatchetPort.exe. The title bar must show RatchetPort V1.3 — Verified Preview, the home page RatchetPort V1.3, and sidebar/Advanced v1.3.
V1.3 included the new verified patch framework, but its launcher still displayed 1.0.0-prealpha and its build metadata named V1.1 PlayGo. This release corrects that oversight with a shared version source for the launcher, executable version properties, package metadata, README and archive names. The home page now explains the preview's scope. The general launcher layout is unchanged.
Validation: Windows build and Python tests, packaging, and the package smoke test without MSYS2 passed. Smoke checks verified the frozen version metadata, actual launcher title and Windows executable version resource against build-info.json. CI: https://github.com/shehab4546/RatchetPort/actions/runs/40048122917
Inherited from V1.3: source/ELF fingerprint and original-byte checks, unique signatures, whole-group rejection, conflict checks, in-memory transactions and loader acknowledgements. Original game files are not patched. FPS, motion-blur and internal-resolution feature patches remain disabled. This is not a new tearing or cutscene-stutter fix. Gameplay acceptance of this exact build is pending owner testing.
The attached Windows and source ZIPs are unchanged CI artifacts from 95d8ec5; their source tree matches release target 0afac33. BUILD_PROVENANCE.json identifies the tested source and SHA256SUMS.txt lists the file hashes. No game data is included. This updates the existing V1.3 release entry. Its original tag remains unchanged; a new immutable source tag identifies the corrected build. No force update of the original tag is used.
Published as Latest at the owner's request. Verified Preview remains an experimental build designation.
RatchetPort V1.2 — Baseline Preview
RP-01 baseline test build for CUSA01047 USA 01.00.
Changes: tracked churn-trace analyzer, regression cases for incomplete/inconsistent traces, Windows CI coverage, and baseline documentation. PR #1 is merged.
Validation: Windows build, Python checks, Liverpool harness, PlayGo/services/churn checks, packaging and package smoke test without MSYS2 passed in the linked CI run. Other native test results and explicit skips are documented in docs/RP01_BASELINE.md; they are not all rerun by this CI workflow.
These are the unchanged artifacts from CI run 39822653784. They were built at PR test merge 548454a, whose entire source tree is identical to main merge 3cc2a50. Internal archive names and source metadata retain their original labels. See BUILD_PROVENANCE.json and SHA256SUMS.txt.
Owner test: extract to a new folder; retain the previous release and back up saves. Select your own CUSA01047 USA 1.00 dump. Start with the original game settings, a 30 FPS cap, VSync on, deferred readback off and zero-clear mirror off. Record GPU, driver, monitor refresh rate and settings. Play a repeatable route for about 30 minutes including movement, camera, jumping, combat, music/effects/dialogue, a cutscene, and save/load after restarting. Record tearing and cutscene stutters separately, with scene name/time and logs; compare against V1.1 using the same settings.
Gameplay, audible audio and save/load acceptance remain pending. This release does not add 60 FPS, internal-resolution patches, motion-blur switches, control remapping or a dedicated tearing/cutscene-stutter fix. No game data is included. This is a separate prerelease and does not replace V1 or V1.1.
RatchetPort V1 — Pre-Alpha
RatchetPort V1 — Pre-Alpha
First public experimental Windows x64 release for Ratchet & Clank PS4,
CUSA01047 USA v1.00. V1 is not a stable 1.0 or a guarantee of playable gameplay.
Your own disc and dump are required
You must own the original PS4 game disc and make your own dump from that disc
using your own PS4. No game files, PS4 proprietary modules, keys, prepared game
images or game artwork are included. Do not use or share someone else's dump.
Included
- RatchetPort launcher targeting CUSA01047 USA v1.00, with original app icons.
- Direct-play helper, native runtime and GPU capability tool.
- Ratchet scheduler, dispatch batching, record overflow and scissor corrections
retained from local bring-up work. - Removal of God of War III hooks, cheats, patches and product assets.
- Conservative defaults: 30 FPS cap, VSync on, 720p output, zero-clear off,
linear readbacks on and deferred GPU readbacks off. No Ratchet binary patches. - LGPL FFmpeg shared libraries built without GPL/version3/nonfree options,
dependency notices and corresponding source attachments.
Tested and still broken
Tested locally on Windows 11 Pro build 26300, Intel Core i5-12400, Intel UHD
Graphics 730 driver 32.0.101.7088, 12 GB RAM. Title/menu/difficulty selection
were reached; the tester confirmed loading and the opening movie with deferred
readbacks disabled. A freeze was reported during an attempted skip after several
unidentified button presses. Actual playable movement, audio, physical controller,
save/load, 1080p and long sessions remain unverified. These observations predate
the final LGPL FFmpeg packaging change; final V1 gameplay has not been revalidated.
VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST on UHD 730 remains unresolved. Windows memory allocation
error 1450 has also occurred before gameplay. A 30 FPS setting is not evidence of
sustained 30 FPS performance. See TESTING.md for separate automated
results, skips and the limits of the game observations.

Publication checks
Source commit: a203a617e8b9e322d2f9ee95c570fbb4bd019829.
46 native tests passed using the release LGPL libraries. Python: 399 passed, 51 skipped, 0 failed (450 discovered). Liverpool command cases passed. The extracted Windows ZIP passed its standalone startup check without MSYS2 on PATH; this is a launcher/runtime smoke test, not a gameplay certification. The package and explicit source archive identify the same commit.
RatchetPort V1.1 PlayGo — Pre-Alpha
Experimental Windows x64 update for CUSA01047 USA v1.00, built from commit 0cd2570f4c2b9778b92df43cfedfaae871299679. V1 remains available unchanged.
PlayGo fixes
- Implements and resolves
scePlayGoPrefetchandscePlayGoGetEtathrough the production runtime resolver, with lifecycle, handle, pointer, count, chunk-ID and locus validation. ETA is initialized to zero only on successful installed-chunk requests. - Validates PlayGo metadata headers, lengths, counts and table bounds. Missing metadata no longer becomes a fabricated single installed chunk; preflight reports the required file and its path.
- Restores missing system files from a matching Sc0 even when the destination param.sfo is valid. Source title/version/content identity is checked and valid destination files are preserved.
- Keeps the existing Ratchet renderer settings and GPU fixes. Unknown imports still trigger the unsupported-import handling.
The supplied log proves missing PlayGo metadata and the unsupported Prefetch call. Missing metadata causing the game to choose Prefetch remains a hypothesis, not a controlled game-test result.
Download and restore the required file
Download RatchetPort-Windows-V1.1-PlayGo-PreAlpha.zip, extract it completely into a new folder and open RatchetPort.exe. This is the same tested Windows package from Actions, with a versioned download filename.
The required game file is <game>\sce_sys\playgo-chunk.dat. For an Image0/Sc0 dump, restore Sc0\playgo-chunk.dat to Image0\sce_sys\playgo-chunk.dat from the same original CUSA01047 USA v1.00 dump. The launcher offers matching-Sc0 recovery. No game files, PS4 modules or keys are included or downloaded.
Verified results and limits
Windows Actions run #1 completed successfully:
- Full Windows build, native services test and six PlayGo test methods, including real resolver binding and malformed-metadata cases.
- Python suite: 463 tests discovered, 417 passed, 46 skipped, zero failures/errors.
- Packaging/source checks and a separate Windows package-startup smoke test with MSYS2 removed from PATH.
- Downloaded ZIP integrity and matching build/source commit verified.
Local focused tests and ASan/UBSan also passed. Local full-suite Linux failures reproduced on the baseline; leak checking was unavailable on the local host. See detailed validation notes.
Gameplay verification: The repository owner has confirmed actual gameplay at a steady 30 FPS on their tested machine with this update. This is owner-reported game testing, separate from the automated build and package checks above. It does not establish compatibility with every GPU or long-session stability. Existing V1 GPU/device-loss limitations are not claimed fixed by this PlayGo update.
Source and checksums
RatchetPort-V1.1-PlayGo-Source.zip: exact release source, pinned submodules and tracked patches. GitHub's automatic source archives omit submodule contents.ffmpeg-9.0.2.tar.xz: corresponding unmodified source for the bundled LGPL shared libraries; build recipe ispackaging/windows/build-ffmpeg.sh.SHA256SUMS.txt: SHA256 checksums of all three attachments above.
Project GPL-2.0 and existing per-file/dependency terms and credits remain preserved; FFmpeg is LGPL-2.1-or-later. You must own and make your own original-disc dump. Unaffiliated with Sony or Insomniac Games.
