Specter 0.1.0 — Developer Preview 1

Specter’s first downloadable developer preview for Apple silicon. Download the ZIP and checksum below; Xcode is not needed to run the packaged app.

Tester preview — not Apple-notarized. The application is signed ad hoc without Developer ID. macOS may block it. Read the installation guide and Apple’s guidance before opening it. Do not disable system-wide protections.

• Native Metal terminal with real shells, tabs, split panes, 130 themes, and twelve independent pixel companions.
• macOS 14+ deployment target, Apple silicon only. Runtime testing covers M3 / macOS 26.3.1; clean-machine quarantined installation and older target OS versions remain unverified.
• No Specter account or hosted server required. Network tools and external AI CLIs use their own services.
• Extract the ZIP and move Specter.app into Applications. Updates are manual.
• Verify the downloaded ZIP with shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt in the folder containing both release files. The checksum verifies integrity, not publisher identity.

Validation: 40 Swift tests, 11 installer tests, static analysis, release build, and bundle signature verification passed. This is early software with documented compatibility limits.
