LogSleuth 0.3.3
LogSleuth 0.3.3 — hotfix for the Shizuku access path.
Fixed
- Shizuku stream failed instantly with
read failed: EBADF— theRemoteProcesswrapper mapped the AIDL streams swapped, so the reader got the write-only end of the remote stdin pipe and the first read blew up. The mapping now matches the officialShizukuRemoteProcess. Verified end-to-end against a live Shizuku service: v0.3.2 reproduces the EBADF; this build streams the full device logcat as the shell user. (#97)

LogSleuth 0.3.2
LogSleuth 0.3.2 — real-device access fixes plus a documentation overhaul.
Highlights
- Real-device stream fix — a logcat failure could wedge the stream for the lifetime of the process (
streamJobwas never cleared, so reconnect never ran). Streams now reconnect reliably, and failures surface the real reason (e.g.logcat exited 1: Permission denied) in the UI. (#87) - Shizuku detection hardened — devices where the provider lookup failed reported "not installed" even with Shizuku present. Detection now checks package presence first with a provider fallback, and the manifest declares the
<provider>authority query Shizuku's binder handshake needs. (#87) - Guided tour step 10 — the demo scope-picker dialog (a separate window) used to swallow the tour overlay; the dialog now carries a live "Guided tour 10/17" caption inside itself. (#88)
- Documentation — the README gallery grew from 6 to 15 real screenshots pinned to a uniform width, and both READMEs (EN + 简体中文) were expanded into full feature, usage, SDK-integration, and permissions documentation. (#89, #91, #93)

v0.3.1
Highlights
Polish release — smoother streaming, smoother startup, guided-tour fix.
- Tail-follow is now a conveyor, not a conveyor belt of pushes (#79): one scroll loop lives for the whole follow session, belt speed matches the measured arrival rate (capped at 1100px/s), and new rows fade in over 240ms instead of popping.
- Cold starts no longer ghost or stall (#81): the engine snapshot's filter-matching moved off the main thread, bulk waves skip per-row entrance fades, and flood publishes throttle to ~5Hz.
- Guided tour step 10 no longer stalls (#80): the real scope dialog now advances the beat on dismiss/confirm, a 350ms debounce prevents double-steps, and the demo can't actually clear your logs.
- Setup + Settings polish (#75): reopening the wizard from Settings shows the guide instead of bouncing to Logs; Log access and About share one row.

Sleuth.shareLogs()no longer crashes the host app (#66) - Docs: real screenshots replace placeholders (#67); scroll/tail-follow and session-ordering polish (#44–#56)
Install
Download LogSleuth-0.3.0.apk (release-signed). The viewer reads device logs via Shizuku or a one-time ADB grant: adb shell pm grant io.github.shiaho777.logsleuth.app android.permission.READ_LOGS

LogSleuth v0.2.1
LogSleuth 0.2.1
Hotfix release with two user-facing fixes:
- Shizuku detection: "Shizuku not installed" was reported whenever the
package was invisible to us (work profile / dual-app space, Sui, forks)
even though the binder worked — and grants toggled inside the Shizuku
app never surfaced. The binder is now pinged first, access re-evaluates
on every return to the app, and a new grant restarts the stream live. - Setup wizard: dropped the loud colored banner and red status chip;
status now sits inline in each card matching the app's quiet style.
LogSleuth v0.2.0
LogSleuth 0.2.0
Highlights since v0.1.0:
- Floating recording controls (3-button pill) and top-bar toggle
- Recordings capture buffered context lines before start
- Crash & ANR detection: FATAL EXCEPTION, native Fatal signal, am_anr
events, same-episode dedup - Recording limits: size cap (default 64 MB) and optional duration cap,
auto-stop + notification deep-linking to the finished session - Backup/extraction rules exclude logs, sessions and crash data
- Importer rewrite: multi-file zip merge, streaming reads, size guard
- Stream integrity: blocking logcat send, seq-numbered handoff between
buffer snapshot and live flow - Lifecycle fixes: QS tile scope, bubble restore, stale session reconcile,
singleTask intent routing - UI polish: ellipsized long names, capped log rows, live filter bar on
session replay - In-app language switch (English / 简体中文 / system)
- Settings: log-access status card + re-enterable setup wizard
