First public release of dewlock!
Features
User Interface
- Before you press a key, the screen shows the time and the date (f44be35).
- After you press a key, the screen shows a password input instead of the ring indicator (49a3d81, d649b03, 6b170ab).
Configuration
- dewlock reads one file with namespace.key=value lines, by default $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/dewlock/config (42dc8d2, ce7c442).
- The file has 9 keys: the background image and its mode, the font family and size, and 5 colors. dewlock removes all other options of swaylock (42dc8d2).
- The font.size value sets the size of all text and the space between all elements. One value controls the full layout (3c49dbc).
- dewlock reads only PNG background images
Installation
- dewlock removes the meson, wayland-protocols, and gdk-pixbuf dependencies (6fca0d3, 0edb204, 9e2eef9).
dewlock -pcommand writes the PAM configuration file (b5db3c3).
Security
- The shadow backend rejects a crypt() result that is not a comparison of the password. This includes a NULL result, a result that starts with *, and a result with an unexpected length (d66c42a).
Compatibility
- dewlock operates with all Wayland compositors that implement the ext-session-lock-v1 protocol.
