AION EMS Zeus v16.0.174 ⚡

This release introduces Device Energy Attribution (DEA) as a dedicated page inside System Center.

DEA shows how the energy used by registered devices is supplied by local generation, battery and grid, with individual device attribution and reconciliation across Today, Week, Month, Year and Total periods.

Longer-period processing has also been optimized to reduce unnecessary Recorder/database load by using Home Assistant’s aggregated statistics where appropriate.

Zeus continues to follow the same principle: measured evidence stays measured, estimated data is clearly identified, and missing evidence is never invented.

AION EMS Zeus v16.0.162 — Recorder Performance Optimization

This release improves Zeus Recorder performance for longer historical periods.

Following community feedback about high database load when accessing statistics beyond roughly three weeks, the Device Energy Attribution history path has been optimized.

Week and Month attribution now use Home Assistant's aggregated Recorder statistics instead of repeatedly scanning overlapping long ranges of raw state history. Zeus also avoids unnecessary duplicate interactive refreshes and serializes/caches attribution calculations to reduce repeated database work.

Short-period detailed evidence remains available where appropriate, and Zeus continues to follow its existing evidence rules — missing historical evidence is never invented.

Testing on MariaDB showed normal Statistics operation across Today, Week, Month and Year with no increase in the database slow-query counter during repeated navigation.

This release also includes all improvements from the v16.0.161 baseline.

Fixes the stale Zeus runtime version display so the sidebar/version badge correctly reports the installed release.
Preserves the complete v16.0.153 hub-navigation baseline and existing functionality.

Advanced Finance Period Selectors

Fixed the period selectors under:

• STATISTICS · ENERGY FINANCE
• STATISTICS · DEA BATTERY

Previously, selecting Week / Month / Year / Total caused the Advanced Finance section to close and the selection to return to Day.

The selected periods now persist correctly, the Advanced Finance section stays open while changing periods, and the Energy Finance and DEA Battery selectors can be used independently.

• Home Assistant entity state updates no longer repeatedly access the Finance summary for the same update.

v16.0.136 focuses on Finance accuracy and protecting user tariff configuration.

Important Tariff Protection

• Fixed and Time-of-Use tariff configuration is now kept separate from runtime/effective pricing.
• Night / Day / Peak tariff periods are preserved when dynamic pricing is used.
• Clearing dynamic pricing no longer forces the configured tariff back to Fixed mode.
• Calculated Finance prices no longer own the user's tariff configuration.

If an older Zeus version already removed your Time-of-Use periods, please check Finance → Tariffs and enter them again once.

Year Finance Accuracy

Thanks to real-world testing from Kaspar, an inconsistency was found between the monthly Finance graph and the Year summary.

• Year Grid Cost now uses the same monthly evidence displayed in the Year graph and table.
• Year Export Income uses the same monthly evidence.
• The Year Value Mix and Year Summary now agree with the displayed monthly values.
• Other Finance periods and tariff calculations are unchanged.

Clearer Finance Terminology

The Year Summary column previously called "Net" is now called Grid balance.

Grid balance = export income − grid cost

This is intentionally different from Net benefit, which also includes the measured value of solar and battery energy used in the home.

Thanks to everyone testing Zeus on real systems and reporting inconsistencies.

AION EMS Zeus v16.0.132 — Important Tariff Configuration Fix

Important Fix

v16.0.132 fixes an issue where Zeus could overwrite a user's configured Time-of-Use tariff mode when dynamic pricing was applied or cleared.

Users with Night / Day / Peak tariffs are strongly recommended to update.

Fixed

• Dynamic pricing no longer owns the user's tariff configuration.
• Time-of-Use tariff mode is preserved.
• Night / Day / Peak periods are preserved when dynamic pricing is used.
• Clearing dynamic pricing restores the user's configured tariff mode instead of forcing Fixed mode.
• Calculated/effective Finance prices no longer replace the tariff configuration shown in the Tariffs editor.
• Tariff configuration and runtime pricing now have separate authorities.

Important for affected installations

If a previous Zeus version has already replaced your Time-of-Use configuration with Fixed mode, the original tariff periods may already have been removed from stored configuration.

After updating, please check:

Finance → Tariffs

If your Night / Day / Peak periods are missing, enter them again once and save them. v16.0.132 will then preserve the configured tariff authority.

No Smart Control behavior is changed by this release.
