The first public Android release of Wo bin ich?

• German by default, with an English language switch.
• A fresh, foreground-only location request with reported accuracy and cancellation.
• Berlin's 12 districts and 97 localities resolved on-device from official boundaries, including offline.
• Nearby addresses via the HTTPS gateway and OpenStreetMap/Nominatim.
• An orbit-inspired interface, no account, ads, analytics SDKs or location history.

Install

Download androidApp-release.apk below and open it on Android 8 or newer. Android may ask you to allow installation from your browser or file manager. The APK is signed with the project's release certificate. The AAB is intended for distribution tooling, not direct installation.

Current limits

A fresh location depends on the device's enabled providers and reception; a cold GPS receiver may need a clear view of the sky. Only Berlin administrative boundaries are bundled offline. Address enrichment requires internet and sends coordinates through wobinich.lol to Nominatim. iOS foundations are included in the source; this release contains Android builds.
