DevNote v0.0.1 — first public release

Local-first Markdown notebook for developers. No subscription, no account, works offline.

⚠️ Unsigned build. DevNote is not code-signed yet (signing certs cost $99+/yr).
Your OS will warn on first launch — this is expected. Bypass steps below.

Install

macOS (Apple Silicon): download DevNote_0.0.1_aarch64.dmg, drag DevNote into /Applications.
Windows (x64): download DevNote_0.0.1_x64-setup.exe and run it.

Bypass the warning (local, one time)

macOS: right-click DevNote → Open → Open. Or Terminal: xattr -cr /Applications/DevNote.app
Windows: SmartScreen → More info → Run anyway.

What's in it

  • 3-pane notebook UI, CodeMirror editor + GFM preview, Telescope fuzzy finder
  • Templates, revision history, themes
  • ~/devnote Markdown file mirror + optional git sync + zip backup
  • Search qualifiers: book: tag: status: title: body:

Notes

  • Notes live in ~/devnote as plain Markdown — back that folder up.
  • This round builds Apple Silicon + Windows x64 only (no Intel Mac).
