Fixes

• Prevent cached/local resource packs from entering a stale JOIN shield after SUCCESSFULLY_LOADED or another terminal status was already delivered.
• Avoid the resulting unnecessary timeout/overlay cleanup path associated with the reported 26.2 disconnect sequence.

Configuration migration

• Upgrade config.yml to schema 3 with every supported option documented inline.
• Insert missing settings in canonical order, repair invalid known values, and remove unknown entries only after preserving the original.
• Use atomic replacement, content-addressed backup deduplication, a 1 MiB parse bound, and a maximum of 10 automatic backups.
• Refuse to rewrite configs from a newer schema version.

Compatibility and verification

• Paper 1.21.1 API lower-bound build: 12 tests passed.
• Paper 26.2 build 92 upper-bound build: 12 tests passed.
• Paper 26.2 build 92 and Folia 26.2 build 1 lifecycle/schema-migration smoke tests passed on Java 25.

Before upgrading, stop the server and retain the plugin folder backup. The plugin also creates config.yml.backup-...yml automatically before its first schema rewrite.

Security and correctness

• Removes raw PacketEvents global block-state packet construction; Paper now owns block-state protocol encoding.
• Handles every resource-pack status in Minecraft 26.2 and keeps protection active for unknown future states until timeout.
• Tracks multiple pack IDs and safely ignores duplicate/late terminal callbacks.
• Expands shielded-player mutation protection and validates/bounds configuration inputs.

• Paper/Folia 26.1–26.2: Java 25+
• Built against Paper API 26.2.build.92-stable; lower edge compiled against Paper 1.21.1.
• Lifecycle smoke-tested on Paper 26.2 build 92 and Folia 26.2 build 1 beta.
• PacketEvents is no longer required; Floodgate remains optional.

Upgrade

Back up the plugin folder, replace the JAR, and restart normally. Schema 2 keys are added without deleting custom keys. No database or world migration is performed.
