v4.9.1 - Optional Computer Use Verification & Calculator Reliability

This patch release builds on v4.9.0 with a focused Computer Use setup fix. A
successful Cua Driver integrity check and diagnostic run now establish
readiness directly, while the visible Calculator launch remains available as
an optional confidence check. This prevents a fresh Windows installation from
being held in an incomplete setup state or raising Called get_config outside of a runnable context when the driver reports Calculator by its canonical
Windows application name.

  • Diagnostics-based readiness - treats successful managed-runtime or
reviewed system-Cua diagnostics as the readiness boundary, without requiring
a separate application launch before Computer Use can be enabled.
  • Optional Calculator verification - keeps Test with Calculator
    (optional)
as a secondary settings action for users who want an additional
visible check, rather than presenting it as a setup or agent-use gate.
  • Canonical Windows app handling - runs the settings-owned Calculator probe
under its explicit local-UI approval path, so a returned Windows Calculator
identity cannot fall through to an agent-graph approval interrupt outside an
    active runnable context.
  • Clearer setup recovery - keeps Check setup as the primary degraded-state
action and reports a successful optional probe as a test result without
    changing the underlying diagnostic record.
  • Regression and documentation coverage - adds deterministic coverage for
managed and system-Cua readiness without an observation marker, canonical
Calculator identity handling, settings-state actions, and the regenerated
    public reference/search artifacts.

Breaking Changes And Caveats

  • No application-data migration, public CLI change, Cua Driver upgrade, new
telemetry disclosure, or additional download is introduced by v4.9.1.
  • Computer Use remains beta, local-interactive-only, off by default, and gated
by the existing disclosure, reviewed runtime verification, diagnostics,
platform permissions, and task-scoped safety policy. The optional Calculator
probe does not replace an end-to-end task test on the applications a user
    actually intends to automate.
