Folder Camera Receiver 1.0.0 brings the optional LAN receiver to a desktop app. Choose a photo folder, scan its five-minute pairing code from Folder Camera on Android, and receive photos over certificate-verified HTTPS. Existing receiver identities, paired phones and saved photos are preserved.

The interface includes recent arrivals, phone disconnection, pause/start, an optional tray mode and optional launch at login. Deno and certificate generation are bundled; no terminal setup or OpenSSL installation is needed.

Downloads:

  • Windows x64 and native ARM64: per-user MSI installers, with the standard WebView2 runtime.
  • macOS Intel and Apple Silicon: DMG applications.
  • Linux x64 and ARM64: AppImage applications. The WebKitGTK 4.1/GTK 3 system libraries are required; the tested Linux baseline is Ubuntu 24.04.

Built with Deno Desktop 2.9.7; its upstream desktop API is experimental. Windows installers are unsigned and macOS apps have an ad-hoc signature, without Apple notarization. Publisher signing credentials are still needed for a trusted store-style install experience. The owner tested the receiver and approved this stable release. Automated GUI and installer acceptance also passes on all six targets.

Automated acceptance runs twenty receiver tests on every target, launches the rendered native GUI and requires a clean exit, then repeats startup from the actual AppImage/MSI/DMG. Windows additionally installs into Local AppData, confirms there is no per-machine install and uninstalls afterward. The per-user location avoids the upstream WebView2 cache failure in a read-only Program Files directory. See the accompanying checksums and source/CI manifest.

The Android app remains independently available from the v1.0.0 release. A changed PC IP can be verified and updated in Android Settings; automatic mDNS rediscovery remains deferred. No advertising, analytics, cloud photo service or router forwarding is required.

Source and license: GPL-3.0-or-later. Bundled dependency notices are available in Receiver settings → Open-source licenses and in the source tree.
