The Document Service: single source of truth for document bytes and hashes — ingest, canonical SHA-256 digests, envelope-encrypted object storage with per-object KMS-wrapped data keys, retention TTL with a background sweep, ASiC-E container assembly and completion, and a signed-PDF store guarded by a one-live-document-per-chain rule. A new release workflow: on release publish, the version tag is pointed at the image ci already built, scanned and signed for that commit — a retag of the same digest, never a rebuild, so the cosign signature remains valid for the version tag.
