7 F&P appliances in SmartHQ but only 5 showing in Home Assistant

Hi

As per the subject line, I have 7 new F&P appliances that show in SmartHQ but only 5 of them are showing in Home Assistant.

I've tried deleting and re-adding the GE Home add on and no change.

The models are:

Rangehood HXEAA
Cooktop CI905DTTB1AA

I can't see anything that looks relevant in the logs either...

Any thoughts welcome.

If you head over to the sdk repo, you should be able to provide some debug information that might help and it can be incorporated in. Likely a new appliance type not in the current list.

OK - finally got somewhere...

Rangehood
Model: HXEAA
Appliance ID: 020000485D63

The logs show it is marked as available and is identified as ErdApplianceType.HOOD, but I get this message: "Could not find appliance 020000485D63 in known device list."

Cooktop - this isn't detected at all
Model: CI905DTTB1
This appliance shows up in my Unifi network as an Android device but does not appear in the debug logs and is not listed as a connected GE module. It is registered and visible in the SmartHQ app, but seems to behave differently from the other appliances (possibly not using the same cloud API?).

Hoods might be supported in the newest pre-release (#423). I don't know if the cooktop is supported yet, but please take a look at the sdk repo and post the log and we can figure out what is happening.

I’ve run gehome-appliance-data with -r US and captured the output while:

Turning the hood (HXEAA) on and changing fan speed in the SmartHQ app
Turning the cooktop (CI905DTTB1) on physically (it shows in SmartHQ but has no controls in the app)

Environment:

Region: US
Brand: Fisher & Paykel

ha_gehome: 2.1.3
gehomesdk: (from pip show gehomesdk)

From the /v1/appliance list call, I can see:

020000485D63 → type: "Hood", nickname "Rangehood"
00A31CDA487C → type: "FP Cooktop Induction", nickname "Cooktop"

Good news and bad, I think that your hood should be supported now. Bad news is that your cooktop looks like it uses all new codes, so it's going to need to be fully implemented in both the SDK and the integration.

Try the newest pre-release (see #425) and let me know if you run into any issues (other than with the cooktop).

I have just received the keys to my new home and the builder installed a number of Haier smart devices that use the SmartHQ app. I've also got all my devices showing except the cooktop (the fridge has a bit of an issue but I'll take that elsewhere). Happy to assist with any logs etc
