v1.13.4
What's changed
Scheduled tasks, config sync through your own git repo, and a sidebar status section.
Features
- Scheduled tasks. Recurring agent runs: a daily dashboard check, a
morning triage. A schedule is a parent task, each run is a new task in its
group, and every run writes a report you can open from the new Scheduled
view. Daily, weekdays or weekly at a time you pick. Runs happen only while
Termic is running, and a missed run is skipped unless you ask for one
catch-up at launch. Create one from the Scheduled view, the command palette,
or "Schedule..." on a task. Thanks to
@nvkvin. - Config sync (experimental). Settings, Sync keeps your setup in a private
git repo you own: projects, per-project overrides, custom agents, prompts,
shortcuts and themes. No account, no token stored, no new host the app talks
to. Sync is manual for now: one pull at launch and a "Sync now" button.
Agent environment variables, paths, port ranges and logins never leave the
machine, and a change to a YOLO or sandbox default from another machine is
always announced. Thanks to @nvkvin. - Profiles sync too. A profile on one machine is created on the other,
with its name and colour, and a rename follows. Delete a profile you do not
want on a machine and it stays deleted there; disconnect one you do not want
synced. Two profiles that merely share a name are never merged without
asking. - A status section in the sidebar. Tasks that need you, are working or are
in review, listed above Projects in the Kanban board's columns, with task
groups kept whole and rows that expand to their agent tabs. Off by default:
turn it on from the project list options or Settings, Appearance. Thanks to
@nvkvin. - Agents can label their own tab.
termic prop ticket ABC-1(or the
task_propMCP tool) puts a small property on the agent's tab, and the
task's sidebar row collects them, so a row can say which ticket each agent
is on. The sidebar filter matches them. Thanks to
@GabrielDumbrava. - oh-my-pi (omp) joins the built-in agents, with hooks. Thanks to
@lymanzhao. - One "Agent state" section per agent. Settings, Agents now says where
each agent's state comes from: reported by the agent through hooks, or
guessed from the terminal, with Install right there when hooks are available
and not installed. The terminal patterns are folded away as a fallback while
hooks are in. - The MCP endpoint can be reached from another device. Settings, MCP has a
bind address and a port, and shows a ready-to-copyclaude mcp addcommand
while the endpoint is on the network. The token now changes only when you
press "Regenerate token", so a client on another machine survives a restart. - Windows: the
termiccommand installs onto PATH, for you or for all
users, and "Add to Claude" now produces a working MCP connection there. - Sidebar choices. Hide the Kanban entry, show Scheduled always, never, or
only when you have a schedule, and optionally carry a profile's colour from
the title bar down the sidebar. - A custom run command's tab is titled "Run · name", so it reads as a run
and not as a terminal that happens to share the command's name. - A filter bar on the Kanban board. Type to narrow every column by task
name, tab title or branch, or use qualifiers likeproject:,agent:,
status:,pr:andchecks:, with a comma for "or" and a leading-to
exclude. The funnel opens every facet as a chip with a live count, a click
on a lane divider or project header filters by it, and/or ⌘F focuses the
bar. Thanks to @wagoodman. - Middle-click a tab to close it, as in a browser. A pinned tab ignores
it. Thanks to @franzkurt for the report. - Profiles is no longer experimental.
Improvements
- Sandboxed tasks cost less in the background. Every sandboxed terminal
used to start its own system log reader; they now share one. Thanks to
@wagoodman.
Bug fixes
- A question you looked at no longer reads as answered. An agent waiting
on a permission prompt lost its bell as soon as its tab was on screen, so a
question glanced at and left alone looked like a finished turn. The bell
now stays until you answer. - A Docker extra mount can no longer reach Termic's own data folder, which
holds agent logins and the CLI token. Such a mount is refused when saved and
skipped at launch. - Quick create follows the right profile. In a second profile's window it
started from the first profile's last task type. - Windows: opening a folder showed Documents instead of the folder. Thanks
to @lymanzhao. - Windows:
termic help --jsoncould crash with a stack overflow. - The agents strip in Settings no longer draws a scrollbar under itself;
it fades at the end that has more. - Two tasks given the same group name ended up in two groups. Naming a
task's group over MCP or the CLI always started a new group, so an agent
that created two tasks and named each one's group the same got two groups
with one name and two colours. A task now joins the group in its project
that already has that name. - Messages from other agents could queue forever behind an empty prompt.
Termic holds a message while you have a draft in the agent's prompt, and it
could believe there was one when there was not: after answering a Claude
permission prompt with a digit, after deleting a word with Ctrl-W or
Option-Backspace, or after stepping back out of history. Nothing was sent
until you pressed Enter in that terminal. - A queued message could wait forever behind an idle agent. Pressing
Enter on something that starts no turn (a slash command that restarts the
session) could leave the tab marked as working with nothing to end it, so
messages queued for it, including ones another agent sent, never went out.
Install
- macOS (universal):
brew install --cask simion/termic/termic, or download the.dmgbelow. Signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens on first launch with nothing else to do. - Linux (x86_64): download the
.AppImagebelow, thenchmod +xit and run. Sandbox is macOS-only; everything else works the same. The image carries zsync update info, so Gear Lever and AppImageUpdate can update it in place (the.zsyncbeside it is for them, not for you).
The app self-updates after install. Full install and update help: https://termic.dev
- Windows (x64, experimental): download the
-setup.exebelow and run it. It is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen asks first: More info, then Run anyway. The sandbox is Docker only on Windows.
