v1.17.2
What's changed
Sharing asks for local network access, and pairing makes sure your agent can use it.
Bug fixes
- Turning on Share on this network (Settings, Agent access) now makes macOS
ask for local network access. Before, a Mac that had never been asked
stayed blocked without a prompt, and no other computer showed up. - Pairing now requires Termic's MCP server in your coding agent. Settings
shows it as a required step with Add to Claude Code and Add to Codex, and
Pair stays off until it is done; a computer paired without it says so. - Add to Claude Code now adds Termic to every Claude account, not just the
default one. Each account keeps its own MCP servers, so tasks on a second
account could not reach a paired computer. make betabuilds again on a Mac with no Developer ID, ad-hoc signed.
Install
- macOS (universal):
brew install --cask simion/termic/termic, or download the.dmgbelow. Signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens on first launch with nothing else to do. - Linux (x86_64): download the
.AppImagebelow, thenchmod +xit and run. Sandbox is macOS-only; everything else works the same. The image carries zsync update info, so Gear Lever and AppImageUpdate can update it in place (the.zsyncbeside it is for them, not for you).
The app self-updates after install. Full install and update help: https://termic.dev
- Windows (x64, experimental): download the
-setup.exebelow and run it. It is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen asks first: More info, then Run anyway. The sandbox is Docker only on Windows.
