Rainkeeper v0.1.0 — The Raindrop MCP that works on free accounts and actually moves bookmarks
LatestThe first public release of Rainkeeper — a self-hostable MCP server for Raindrop.io built on FastMCP.
Why Rainkeeper exists
Two problems with existing Raindrop MCP options:
- The official MCP requires a Pro subscription. Free accounts are locked out.
- The community alternative (adeze/raindrop-mcp) has a silent critical bug: collection moves do nothing. The Raindrop API accepts the malformed request with a 200 OK and silently ignores it. Every
move_raindropcall leaves the bookmark exactly where it was.
Rainkeeper fixes both.
What's in v0.1.0
19 tools across five domains:
- Collections (5) — list, get, create, update, delete
- Bookmarks (6) — list, get, create, update, move, delete
- Bulk operations (4) — move, tag, star, delete (batch)
- Search (1) — full Raindrop search syntax supported
- Tags (3) — list, rename, delete
The fix in one line: Rainkeeper sends {"collection": {"$id": 456}}. The community MCP sends {"collectionId": 456}. The API accepts both; only one works.
Validated: 11/11 live tests pass including round-trip move and restore against a real Raindrop account.
