Updated the backend encrypted file to use the latest from Lumerical (https://optics.ansys.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500006203341-GDSII-Export-Automation)

New Features:

  • Support for Contour objects (Export times are long, expect 2+ minutes. This is a backend limitation).
  • Support for Waveguide Objects.
  • Support for all other geometry objects (needs testing).
  • Support for User defined indices.
  • New method to run Lum2GDS using Lumerical's built-in python (see Readme).

Changes:

  • Creates a temporary copy of the FSP file to perform extraction operations. The aim is to avoid unexpected changes to the original project file. The temporary file is removed at the end of the extraction. If the extraction process is somehow interrupted, the temporary file will need to be removed manually.
  • Python 3.9+ supported now.
  • Latest Klayout Python API is supported now.
