Supported agents

Which surfaces each agent tool supports today. Details in the linked design docs and Harness runtime management.

Agent Install jobs Provider push Portal chat Sessions rail Profile deploy Inventory scan
claude-code ✅ npm + native upgrade ✅ ✅ (ACP wrapper) ✅ list + replay ✅ marketplace emitter (preferred) ✅
codex ✅ ✅ ✅ (codex-acp) ✅ (auth-gated) ✅ adapter ✅
deepseek (dsh) ✅ ✅ (three slots) ✅ ✅ file scan, resume ✅ adapter ✅
opencode ✅ ✅ ✅ (native ACP) ✅ list + load ➖ not a deploy target ✅
pi ✅ (Node ≥22.19) ✅ ✅ (self-developed bridge) ✅ file scan ⚠️ partial: skills + prompts only ✅ skills + prompts
hermes ➖ runtime mgmt cancelled ➖ ✅ (native ACP) ➖ supported:false ✅ adapter ✅

Notes:

  • claude-code — the preferred install path is the emitted plugin marketplace (Profiles & installation); task/todo tools are force-enabled through adapter env so the plan panel works.
  • deepseek (dsh) — see the T1 design for the ~/.dsh layout and the three config slots; dsh needs Node ≥22.15 for its plugin tree.
  • opencode — speaks ACP natively; deliberately excluded from deploy targets (its config is code, not manifests). Onboarded in W12.
  • pi — speaks no ACP at all, so the daemon ships a self-developed ACP↔pi-RPC bridge; MCP/hooks/sub-agents have no declarative surface in pi, so profile deploy covers skills and prompt templates only. Onboarded in W16.
  • hermes — runtime management was explicitly cancelled (2026-09-17); hermes stays profile-deploy + inventory-scan + chat.
