• Indicators on main screen can now be hidden
• Added portrait orientation support
  • If you want to force certain orientation, you can do it by configuring a "goofy" setting
• Added auto-start at boot feature*
• Added simple icon background feature

Simple Icon Background

Icons with no banner (Android TV icon) uses generic background. Enabling this feature will change generic background from green-ish gradient to solid gray color.

Icons with banner are not affected.

"Goofy" settings

"Goofy" settings are settings hidden by default because their implementation is, well, goofy.
The idea is: Advanced users with high tolerance of jank could utilize them. I wouldn't.
Goofy settings can be shown by tapping version info item 7 times on Settings screen.

Permissions

Molla now declares two new permissions:

• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW
  • Used to implement auto-start at boot feature.
    • For Android 9 and below, only RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED is needed, and no action is required to enable this feature.
    • For Android 10 and above, SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW is also needed which requires an explicit grant, so users will be asked to grant this permission upon trying to enable this feature.
  • These permissions are not used anywhere else.
