TopoNav v1.4.0

This release introduces dynamic map source selection (supporting four free providers without API keys), isolated offline caching, a fully responsive layout engine with dynamic map resolution negotiation for all Pebble models, and critical bug fixes.

What's New:

  • Dynamic Map Source Selection: Choose between OpenTopoMap, HikeBikeMap, MtbMap, or Standard OSM in the settings page.
  • Isolated Caching: Caches are now segmented by map source style, preventing map styles from mixing or overwriting each other in offline storage.
  • Responsive Layouts: Fixed invisible footers, truncated dashboard cells, and stretched views on smaller watches (Basalt, Aplite, Chalk).
  • Dynamic Map Resolution (Performance Boost): Map resolution is negotiated dynamically per watch model, reducing tiles download/transmission size by ~50% on Pebble Time and Classic (from 30KB to 16KB), leading to faster load times and excellent memory stability.

Bug Fixes:

  • PebbleKit JS Module Scope Fix: Resolved a ReferenceError on startup that halted the companion app and prevented GPS tracking from starting.
  • WebView Reset Fix: Fixed select dropdown values resetting to default (OpenTopoMap) when refreshing translations in mobile WebViews.
