Format HTML with a tolerant tokenizer as a first-class type. .html and .htm inputs, --type html, and auto-detection of unknown extensions now
use the HTML profile instead of the strict XML parser. Void elements
(<br>, <img>, ...), optional closing tags (<p>, <li>, <td>, ...),
unquoted attributes, and raw-text elements (<script>, <style>, <pre>, <textarea>, <title>) are accepted. Markup and text-node content are
preserved, while formatting-only whitespace between elements may be
normalized into structural indentation. .xml and .xhtml keep the strict
XML parser.
Auto-detect markup as XML or HTML by sniffing a bounded prefix (<?xml and xmlns lean XML; <!doctype html>, an <html> root, or complete lowercase
unsaturated void elements lean HTML).
Structure jumps (]/[) now treat known void elements as self-contained
for both XML and HTML.
Added examples/messy.html to exercise the tolerant HTML tokenizer.
Added an Xvfb/Kitty/ffmpeg visual verification helper for final viewer smoke
recordings, including MP4, extracted frames, keyframes, contact sheet, and
inspection metadata.
Changed
Search now renders non-current matches with a dimmer background while keeping
the current selected match brighter, making repeated matches on the same
viewport easier to orient.
XML structure jumps no longer open a phantom block for void elements such as <br> or <img>.
