Hanami v0.2.8
Changes
- Your own look. A
[theme]block in the settings sets the panel's colours and the petals: how many, how fast, how big, how they sway, spin and are tinted, plus specks drifting up. Apetal.svgorpetal.pngnext to the settings replaces the sakura petal. Both are plain files, so you can ask an AI for "autumn, with maple leaves" and paste what it writes; the?button's prompt and the guide tell it the rules, with ready settings for sakura, autumn leaves and snow. Changing the look. - The sakura petal is redrawn, petals come in all sizes (small ones faint and slow, as if further away), turn over as they fall, and are spread out instead of clumping.
- When a game place is there but can't be read (say Steam's files aren't readable), the panel says so instead of showing fewer games.

Hanami v0.2.7
Changes
- Wayland hotkey on KDE Plasma 6 and GNOME: Hanami adds its shortcut once and then leaves it alone. A key you change in the desktop's settings stays; a key another shortcut already has is reported in the panel instead of taken.
- KDE on Wayland: a panel shown many times could end up back in the taskbar; fixed.
- "Open at login" follows the program if you move the AppImage or the portable folder.
- Docs: Windows SmartScreen note ("More info", "Run anyway"), which Linux versions the AppImage needs (2024 or newer).

Hanami v0.2.6
Changes
- Linux on Wayland: the hotkey (
Ctrl+Alt+Hby default) now works on KDE Plasma and GNOME. Hanami adds it to the desktop's own keyboard shortcuts at start; it shows up there as "Hanami". Other Wayland desktops still get a note to bindhanami --toggleyourself. - Pressing Home, End, Page Down or an F-key no longer puts an invisible blank into the search.
- After scrolling the list with the mouse wheel, the arrow keys carry on from the rows in view instead of jumping back.

Hanami v0.2.5
Changes
- Open at login: right-click the tray icon and pick it. Hanami then starts in the tray when you log in; pick it again to turn it off. On Linux this is an autostart entry, on Windows the same startup entry the installer offers.
- Linux on Wayland: the panel is see-through now (it was a solid box). On KDE Plasma it also gets the frosted blur, stays out of the taskbar and Alt+Tab, and the empty "Hanami" task that used to sit in the taskbar is gone.

Hanami v0.2.4
Changes
- Linux on Wayland (KDE Plasma, GNOME): the panel now opens when Hanami was started with
--hidden, the usual way. In 0.2.3 it never appeared. - Wayland: the panel says once that there is no built-in hotkey there, and to bind
hanami --toggleto a key in your desktop's shortcut settings. - Checked on Kubuntu, Ubuntu, Fedora, Xubuntu and Linux Mint; the table is in ROADMAP.md.

Hanami v0.2.3
Changes

giofirst and falls back toxdg-open.

- Windows:
hanami.exedeclares that it runs as your user and never asks for admin rights, and carries full version details.
