Already fixed: voice mode now respects the auto approve setting the same way chat does. Ships with the next update.

Is this in 2.6.1? I've updated twice since you said this and it still asks permission for many things in voice chat but not in text chat

I owe you a correction: I re-checked the code after your message. The auto-approve setting is applied in the chat screen, and the voice surface brings its own approval dialog that never consults it, which is exactly why text chat flows and voice asks for everything 🤦‍♂️ missed that one..

Update, as promised: the fix is built and on its way to you.

Voice and Iris now go through the same approval gate as chat. A tool you allowed with auto-approve runs without asking, an always-ask tool still asks, and you can answer "always allow" from the voice surface the way you can in a chat. Voice also stops interrupting itself mid-sentence to announce a question it did not need to ask.

The mobile release carrying it (2.6.5) is submitted and currently waiting in the app store review queues for both stores; it rolls out to everyone as soon as review clears, which is usually a matter of days. Thanks for the patience and for pushing back when the first answer was wrong - you were right, and this one is measured on a real device.
