Your phone can now start, watch and stop the work your desktop does. Agents know who you are and what day it is. Vision lands on the right provider, the composer never stays stuck, and Flow stays out of your chats.
Added
- The chat background breathes while Skales works. The accent glow slowly grows and drifts while your question is being thought through, stays a touch more present while the answer arrives, and settles back when it is done. A running goal gets its own livelier, greener state. Nothing moves while Skales is idle, the animation stops while the window is in the background, and it is off entirely when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Skales Mobile is on the App Store. The Skales Mobile page now links the App Store next to Google Play.
- Start a goal from your phone. A request the phone marks as a goal now runs on the desktop as a proper background goal, on its own session with its own plan, instead of one long blocking reply. It keeps working after the phone acknowledges it, so you can close the app and come back to the result.
- Control a goal from your phone. The Skales mobile app can now list the goals running on your desktop and stop, pause, or continue any of them.
- Get notified on your phone when a goal finishes. When a goal started from your phone completes, pauses for input, or stops on an error, the desktop notifies that phone, even if the app is closed. The notification is routed only to the phone that started the goal.
- Your phone sees the live plan. The desktop sends the same step-by-step checklist to the mobile app, updates it the moment a step changes, and brings it back when you reopen the conversation.
- Browse and fetch desktop files from your phone. The phone's Workspace shows a Desktop folder while connected. Read-only and strictly limited to the workspace folder.
- Finish a connector's setup from your phone. Confirm the connector's domain and set its key from the mobile app. The key is sent once, stored encrypted, and never read back.
- Safety Mode now has three levels: Safe, Advanced and Unrestricted. If you were on the old Unrestricted, it is now called Advanced with identical behaviour, and a one-time note on first start points you to the new, genuinely unrestricted mode.
- Name an image or video model in plain words. Ask for "flux schnell", "gemini flash" or "veo 3.1 flash" and Skales matches it to a model your providers can actually run. If the name is ambiguous it asks which one you meant.
- Skales can set up an API connector from documentation, mid-conversation. The connector is saved switched off and without a key, so the key never passes through the model.
- API connectors speak OAuth2 (client credentials). Skales fetches and refreshes the token on its own, entirely on your machine.
- Tools Skales builds for itself survive the session. Every future conversation knows about those tools, so Skales reuses what it already built instead of starting over.
- Discover shows when someone forks a skill or template.
Fixed
- Agents now know your saved facts and today's date. A custom agent, or an agent from the Agents page such as the Research Analyst, ran with its persona only, so a web research report could carry the publication date of its sources as the report date. Every agent now gets the real current date, is told that a date found in a source belongs to that source and is never today, and receives the facts you saved.
- Your saved facts survive minimal compression. With compression set to minimal, or chosen automatically for a small local model, entries under Memory, Knowledge & Facts fell away. Your saved facts are now always kept.
- Stopping a running goal from the header now actually stops it. Stop and Pause halt the live run at once. An interrupted goal is parked so it only continues when you choose Continue, and a goal that hit an error is marked failed instead of looking like it is still running.
- A long task no longer times out on your phone while the desktop is still working on it. The desktop keeps the phone informed while it works, so the phone waits and the answer arrives.
- OpenRouter works as your Vision Provider. A leftover address from a previous provider is cleared the moment you switch providers, and a "not found" error now names the model and how to correct its id.
- The image description sits under the picture, inside your message.
- The composer no longer stays stuck after a reply stops responding. It releases on its own after a run goes quiet for too long, without stopping whatever the server is still doing. Typing in very long conversations is lighter too.
- Skales Visuals no longer times out while it is still working. Flow now allows the whole generation and only gives up on real silence.
- Forked and created templates appear in your library. They show up with a Custom or Forked chip and a delete button, and a forked template carries its full prompt instead of a short preview.
- Flow projects stay out of your chats. Flow projects are kept out of every chat list, and opening a Flow project link sends you to Flow instead of rendering it as a chat.
- Long answers from Ollama Cloud models no longer cut off mid-sentence. Each family now uses its real answer length, and you can still raise it under Override Model Limits.
- Ollama Cloud models use their tools instead of just talking about them. These hosted models are now recognised for what they are.
- Reasoning no longer leaks into the chat as "[thinking]" text.
- Image generation works when your only provider is fal.ai or Replicate.
- A PowerShell display command is no longer mistaken for disk formatting. Only real drive formatting stays blocked; the display formatters run.
- Pairing a phone opens the right panel and confirms right away.
- Removing a paired phone really cuts it off. A removed device stays removed until you deliberately show a fresh QR code.
Changed
- Skales IQ is described as free included usage, not a trial. There is nothing to buy. When the limited & included usage runs out you connect your own provider and everything keeps working.
- Flow places your attached images instead of redrawing them. In an image or video project the attachment still passes straight to the generator untouched, so an edit works on your real picture.
