Welcome to the ggj15ghana wiki! Notes from our brainstorming session:

The theme: what do we do now?

Game types: 3D, 2D, board, card, super simple, text, clicking... Game genres: rhythm games, word games, side scrollers, tower defense (e.g. Plants vs. Zombies), puzzle (e.g. Tetris), rail shooters, pong (something like a fighting game?), endless running, simulator...

Make sure we build something simple. Needs to be playable in 2 days :) resources here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qQf5zjvJHEB40xYhTiFo9GzNYUBt8iAw8vzPu2Oy354/preview

Blackout simulator!

You are ECG and you have to pick areas of Ghana to black out. When an area is blacked out the people get angry, if they get too angry they riot and kill you (you lose). But you have a limited amount of power and as time goes on less and less is available. Try to survive as long as possible before the people riot

Something where the player has to make a choice...

Present them with a decision, they need to decide quickly with a timer (e.g. jump, run, swim), then the game continues according to their choice Ex. if you are running away from a T-Rex chasing you - how does your decision change the outcome of the game?

Recipes

You have a bunch of ingredients, need to figure out how to combine them - not all the recipes will work, and you get scored based on how close yours is to the real recipe. Goal is to get the top score

If things are falling, you need to catch them… player needs to decide what to save and what to let fall (limited amount of carrying space). You get scored based on the combination of things you saved

Tro-tro simulator

Traffic simulator (will this be boring?)

Stamping passports…
