Keyorra 0.1.0

The first public release of Keyorra: a free, local-first password manager for your Mac.
No account, no cloud, no telemetry. Your vault is an encrypted file on your Mac.

What's in 0.1.0

  • Encrypted local vault (Argon2id → account key → per-vault keys, XChaCha20-Poly1305, SQLite)
  • Vaults; logins, credit cards, identities and secure notes; favorites, tags, password history,
    Recently Deleted
  • TOTP one-time codes
  • Import from 1Password (.1pux) and CSV
  • Password and passphrase generator
  • Watchtower: weak, reused and missing-2FA passwords, plus an opt-in Have I Been Pwned breach
check (k-anonymity: only a 5-character SHA-1 prefix leaves your Mac)
  • Touch ID unlock, auto-lock, clipboard clearing
  • Menu bar item and ⌘⇧Space quick search
  • Browser extensions for Chrome and Chromium browsers, Firefox and Safari: autofill logins and
one-time codes, save/update logins, strong-password suggestion on sign-up, cards and addresses.
Each browser is paired once and confirmed with a matching code.

Install

  1. Open Keyorra.dmg and drag Keyorra to Applications.
  2. First launch (Gatekeeper). These builds are signed with a personal Apple Development
certificate and are not notarized, so macOS blocks the first launch. Right-click
Keyorra → Open → Open, or try to open it once and then choose System Settings →
Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Do the same for "Keyorra for Safari".
  3. Create your vault with a master password. Optionally import from 1Password with Import… in the sidebar.
  4. Browsers: in Keyorra, Settings… → Browsers → Connect browsers, then install the extension:
    • Chrome/Chromium: unzip keyorra-chromium-0.1.0.zip into a folder you keep →
chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked → that folder.
    • Firefox: about:debugging → This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on… → manifest.json
from the unzipped keyorra-firefox-0.1.0.zip (removed when Firefox quits).
    • Safari: open "Keyorra for Safari" → Open Safari Extensions Settings → enable Keyorra.
  5. Click the Keyorra toolbar icon → Connect, compare the code with the app, confirm.

Touch ID records are tied to this build's signature (team 4889865CU4). If you switch to a build
signed differently, turn Touch ID on again with your master password.
