Stage Chat Codex 0.2.3
Ultrafast selection now uses an explicit trusted CLI model catalog. Select model: 'gpt-6-astra', reasoningEffort: 'max', serviceTier: 'ultrafast' and modelCatalogPath pointing to a protected, static catalog obtained from the application's approved account.
composer require skyyware/stage-chat-codex:^0.2.3The catalog must advertise the exact model, reasoning effort and tier. Missing, malformed or unadvertised metadata fails before a CLI process starts. The connector rechecks at completion startup; a catalog that loses support returns content-free Unavailable. The file must be absolute, readable, regular, at most 4 MiB and protected from group or other-user writes. The application owns its provenance.
The profile passes this path through model_catalog_json. Default and Fast callers without a catalog retain their previous behavior. The package includes no account catalog and performs no authentication changes. Reasoning ultra remains rejected.
Validation passed:
- Strict Composer validation, PHPStan at its maximum level, and 58 tests with 166 assertions
- 60 synthetic wire requests on macOS CLI 0.160.0 and Linux CLI 0.159.3, covering Sol/Low baseline plus Astra/Max with default, Fast and Ultrafast
- Another 12 requests using a genuine single-model consumer export, with exact Max/Ultrafast selection, successful and rejected responses and three concurrent processes
- No exposed tools, disabled response storage, no retained content markers and empty known conversation tables
- The documented metadata export preserves model records, creates a protected file and refuses to overwrite an existing snapshot
Catalog metadata and these synthetic fixtures establish requested selection. Successful authentication, actual provider acceptance, application answers, latency and capacity require separate authorized application verification. The public package remains MIT licensed, and repository automation remains disabled.
Stage Chat Codex 0.2.2
Codex CLI 0.160.0 can now complete through the connector instead of failing the version check. GPT-6 Astra also accepts reasoningEffort: 'max', independently of the default or explicit Fast tier. Existing defaults and process limits are unchanged.
composer require skyyware/stage-chat-codex:^0.2.2Use model: 'gpt-6-astra', reasoningEffort: 'max' and either serviceTier: null or serviceTier: 'fast'. Supported CLI versions are 0.159.2, 0.159.3 and 0.160.0. Run the wire probe for the actual deployment binary, model, reasoning and tier before serving requests.
Ultrafast remains rejected locally. The tested service-home CLI catalog snapshots advertised Fast but no Ultrafast tier, and an unadvertised tier is silently omitted by the CLI. Those snapshots did not establish successful provider authentication or Ultrafast availability for a different account. This release supplies no replacement catalog or fallback tier. Reasoning ultra remains rejected.
Validation passed:
- Strict Composer validation, PHPStan at its maximum level, and 35 tests with 122 assertions
- 48 synthetic wire requests across macOS CLI 0.160.0 and Linux CLI 0.159.3, using Sol/Low and Astra/Max with default and Fast tiers
- Successful and rejected responses, three concurrent processes, exact request values, no tools, disabled response storage, no retained content markers, and empty known conversation tables
These checks establish the package's request behavior. Authenticated Max acceptance, application answers, latency and capacity require separate application verification. The completion interface does not expose provider-confirmed served-tier metadata. The package remains MIT licensed; repository automation remains disabled.
Stage Chat Codex 0.2.1
Install the Codex connector and its Stage Chat dependency through public Packagist packages. The operational examples use generic service paths, and the repository welcomes focused contributions from people and agents.
composer require skyyware/stage-chat-codex:^0.2.1Requires PHP 8.4 or later within PHP 8 and ext-json. Real completions also need a separately installed, authenticated Codex CLI on macOS or Linux. CLI versions 0.159.2 and 0.159.3 remain supported. Development subprocess checks require ext-posix.
No connector API, execution profile, supported CLI, or retention behavior changes from 0.2.0. serviceTier: 'fast' still requests Fast independently of reasoning; rejection never substitutes a model or tier. The Stage Chat dependency remains compatible with 0.1. Existing applications pinned to 0.2.0 are unchanged.
Validation: Composer metadata, PHPStan at maximum level, and 26 tests with 98 assertions passed locally on PHP 8.4.26. This distribution/documentation patch does not repeat a paid provider batch or change the previously verified wire profile. Repository automation stays disabled.
The application owns retrieval, authentication, concurrency, and output/source validation. CLI metadata and provider processing remain separate from the connector's content-file checks. No served-tier or latency guarantee is exposed. See README.md, docs/operations.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, and RELEASING.md.
Distribution verified: a fresh anonymous Composer consumer installed this exact tag and compatible Stage Chat from Packagist without VCS/local overrides, plugins, or development dependencies. JSON completion and the explicit Fast command profile passed through real subprocess pipes with the synthetic fake CLI. No authenticated provider call was made for this distribution check.
Stage Chat Codex 0.2.0
Options::$serviceTier accepts fast or null. Fast requests the CLI feature and priority tier independently of reasoning effort. Omitting the option preserves the prior execution profile. Invalid tiers fail locally; provider rejection never triggers a model or tier fallback. The contract returns answer text without provider-confirmed model or served-tier metadata.
This Release records the existing immutable tag at f8ce0e124ce7594e627ee916937b620db29d9259; no tag or source history has been moved. It is a historical version. For new installations, use 0.2.1 and its current README, contribution guide, and operational limits.
Current public distribution and native checks are recorded on the 0.2.1 Release. This historical Release does not claim a new paid provider run or a separate fresh validation of this older checkout.
Stage Chat Codex 0.1.0
The initial MIT adapter invokes a supported Codex CLI through a fixed ephemeral, tool-free profile. It uses private directories, stdin input, bounded output, cancellation, child cleanup, and sanitized failures. Applications own account authorization, context, concurrency, and rendering. This tag does not expose an explicit service-tier option.
