Stage CMS 0.5.2

Choose a tag to compare

@skyyware skyyware released this 03 Oct 14:02

Install with composer create-project skyyware/stage-cms my-site "0.5.2" --no-dev --no-plugins or embed with composer require skyyware/stage-cms:0.5.2.

Markdown tables now render in pages, previews, and revisions, with horizontal containment on small screens. HTML stripping and unsafe-link filtering remain active. The standalone lockfile uses Stage 0.1.4. No new dependency, API, schema, or export format change. Existing pipe-table text now renders as tables; review those pages when upgrading.

Verified: Composer metadata, PHPStan, 37 tests with 323 assertions, native desktop/mobile draft-preview-publish-restore workflow, table containment, keyboard focus, and no browser console errors. Schema 3 and export format 3 remain unchanged.

Stage CMS 0.5.1

@skyyware skyyware released this 01 Oct 14:48

Stage CMS can now be installed as a public Composer application or embedded package. Private VCS overrides and source-preference settings are removed; installation, contribution, security, and release guides describe the current 0.5 workflow.

composer create-project skyyware/stage-cms my-site "^0.5.1" --no-plugins
cd my-site
php bin/cms setup --name="Your name" --email="you@example.com"
composer serve

Existing applications use composer require skyyware/stage-cms:^0.5.1. Requires PHP 8.4 or later within PHP 8 and Fileinfo, GD, Mbstring, PDO SQLite, and Zip. Serve only public/. There are no default credentials.

No API, editing behavior, database schema, or export format changes from 0.5.0. Schema 3 and export format 3 remain current. Upgrades from 0.4 require the documented backup and schema migration; rollback needs the previous code and its pre-upgrade data together. CLI help and OpenAPI version metadata now match the 0.5 release line.

Validation: Composer metadata, PHPStan at maximum level, and 36 tests with 318 assertions passed locally on PHP 8.4.26. Repository automation stays disabled. D-DIN fonts retain their bundled SIL Open Font License; application code is MIT licensed.

One publication and one owner are supported. Team roles, scheduled publication, distributed writes, and production capacity are outside this release. See README.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, docs/operations.md, docs/themes.md, and RELEASING.md.

Distribution verified: fresh anonymous Composer installs passed both standalone create-project and embedded require paths, without private VCS or local repositories. Standalone files matched the tagged tree. CLI help, setup, doctor, OpenAPI version, draft/publication, typed fields, a fixed homepage binding, and an installed theme passed through the installed packages. Production dependencies installed without development tools or plugins.

Stage CMS 0.5.0

@skyyware skyyware released this 01 Oct 15:09

Pages have stable identities, linked translations, application-owned bindings and public paths, and redirects for former published slugs. Required fields and publication rules validate the exact revision within the publication transaction. Schema 3 and export format 3 retain compatibility reads for formats 1 and 2. Upgrading from 0.4 requires a backup and the documented migration; rollback needs pre-upgrade data with the old code.

Applications can register typed text fields, supported languages, and installed themes. The workspace uses bundled D-DIN fonts under their SIL Open Font License. Schema 1 migrates to schema 2, and exports use format 2. Back up before migration; rollback needs the preceding code and its pre-upgrade data together.

Stage CMS 0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@skyyware skyyware released this 28 Sep 19:48

The workspace stays responsive as content grows: searchable, paginated images; a visual cover picker that saves the draft first; and revision summaries with individual reading views.

Agent lists return compact summaries. Read a page or revision for complete content, or request include=body. Media lists now use pagination; follow next_page. The CMS guide is available at /api/guide, including when a website supplies its own /llms.txt.

Upgrading from 0.2: clients that read bodies from page/history lists must request them explicitly. Clients that read the image library must follow pagination. Write requests, PHP full-content list methods, and database format remain compatible.

Requires Stage 0.1.1 or later. Includes an isolated, repeatable benchmark. Composer validation, PHPStan max, 24 tests with 208 assertions, OpenAPI response validation, and desktop/mobile editing checks passed.

MIT licensed. See the API guide for the complete contract.

Stage CMS 0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@skyyware skyyware released this 28 Sep 18:12

Stage CMS 0.2 adds custom publication themes for existing websites. A theme renders the public index and pages; authenticated previews receive the saved draft through the same renderer.

The CMS still owns editing, permissions, revisions, publication, media, and agent access. Its assets and API documentation resolve from the installed Composer package, and CMS_ROOT connects CLI commands to a consuming application.

The default publication remains available. The database stays on schema 1, with no content migration required from 0.1.

composer require skyyware/stage-cms:^0.2

See docs/themes.md for integration. Verified with PHP 8.4 and 8.5, 19 tests and 152 assertions, PHPStan at its strictest level, and a consuming website's editing, preview, and publishing workflow.

Stage CMS 0.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@skyyware skyyware released this 28 Sep 17:05

Stage CMS 0.1.0 is the first public release: a PHP publication workspace for one site and one owner, built on Stage 0.1 through Composer.

Write Markdown pages, save private drafts, preview, and publish. New edits leave the published revision live. Restore earlier revisions, archive and recover pages, manage images, and export or restore the publication.

Agents use the same content operations through a documented JSON API. Tokens have explicit scopes, expiry, and revocation. Drafting and publishing are separate permissions, and stale updates return a conflict before changing content.

composer create-project skyyware/stage-cms my-site "^0.1"
cd my-site
php bin/cms setup --name="Your name" --email="you@example.com"
composer serve

Requires PHP 8.4 or 8.5, Composer 2, and Fileinfo, GD with JPEG/PNG/WebP, Mbstring, PDO SQLite, and Zip. Serve only the public directory; follow docs/operations.md for deployment and recovery.

Validation: 17 behavior tests with 125 assertions, PHPStan at its strictest level, PHP 8.4 and 8.5 CI, and browser checks of editing, publication, recovery, scoped agent access, and responsive layouts.

This is an early release. One owner and one site are supported; team roles, scheduled publication, plugins, and real-time collaboration are outside this version. API and storage formats may change before 1.0.

MIT licensed. Contributions are welcome through the public repository. See CONTRIBUTING.md, AGENTS.md, docs/api.md, and the OpenAPI schema.
