Willow 0.0.13
Willow 0.0.13 brings the shared bot improvements to its Hew host services and Lua/Wasm worker, and builds with the current Hew compiler.
!rcmdaccepts named repeater groups. A name that matches no repeater or group refuses the whole command and lists the choices, and changes sent to more than one repeater are limited to settings that can be corrected over the air.- Interactive route repair and
!find-pathrun straight away; the 900-second discovery cooldown applies only to scheduled monitor polls. - Command replies wait for the airtime budget instead of being dropped.
- Lua and Wasm sources hold up to 32 KiB in 16 named files, with 32 custom commands and 16 modules.
/readyzno longer requires the observer when it is disabled.
Download the Linux x86-64 bundle and follow the Willow setup guide. Keep the existing private state directory during upgrades. The bundle includes the host, Base, dashboard, MQTT broker, native worker, source and licences.
The Docker image is ghcr.io/slepp/meshcore-willow:0.0.13; see the container guide.
Command library 0.1.2
Command library 0.1.2 updates the ZIP instructions for the 32 KiB Lua source limit: 16 entries and 32,768 bytes on ESP32 and the host, eight entries and 4,096 bytes on compact Pine.
Choose a ZIP for greetings, private notes, repeater signal reports or repeater monitoring. Extract it and follow its README to add the named Lua source to Aspen or Willow. The command modules are unchanged.
Browse the command library for examples and requirements.

Aspen 0.1.19
Aspen 0.1.19 adds named repeater groups to !rcmd, raises the Lua and Wasm program limit to 32 KiB and gives each radio its own network name.
- Define groups with
bot repeaters group NAME ALIAS,ALIAS, then run!rcmd all veror!rcmd-write sherwood set flood.max 4from an owner DM. A name that matches no repeater or group refuses the whole command and lists the choices. A change sent to more than one repeater must be one that can be corrected over the air, such as delays, flood limits and advert intervals. - Interactive route repair and
!find-pathrun straight away. The 900-second discovery cooldown applies only to scheduled monitor polls. - Command replies wait for the radio's airtime budget instead of being dropped.
- Lua and Wasm sources hold up to 32 KiB in 16 named files, with 32 custom commands and 16 modules.
- Each Aspen names itself
aspen-plus the last six hex digits of its WiFi MAC, for exampleaspen-8807b0, for DHCP, mDNS and syslog. Openhttp://aspen-XXXXXX.local/admin; the USB boot log printsWiFi hostname:. Identities and settings are retained. - Transmissions on fast radio profiles, such as SF5 at 500 kHz, no longer end early. A CLI request or reply could occasionally fail to reach the air.
Built on MeshCore 1.18.0 for Seeed XIAO ESP32-S3R8 with Wio SX1262. For an existing Aspen node, install the application image through the application update procedure to keep identities, settings and programs.
Willow 0.0.12
Willow 0.0.12 brings the shared bot improvements to its Hew host services and Lua/Wasm worker.
- Reuse repeater administrator sessions and known routes, with shared connection repair and one retry for safe reads.
- Run repeater batches and monitoring without fixed delays between targets.
- Use
python3 tools/admin.pyfor administration and program installation; private file inputs reject FIFOs promptly.
Download the Linux x86-64 bundle and follow the Willow setup guide. Keep the existing private state directory during upgrades. The bundle includes the host, Base, dashboard, MQTT broker, native worker, source and licences.
The Docker image is ghcr.io/slepp/meshcore-willow:0.0.12; see the container guide.
Pine 0.1.4
Pine 0.1.4 includes the shared bot fixes for contact lookup, route discovery, command replies and repeater session reuse, alongside the unified administration CLI.
This application update is for an initialized Seeed XIAO nRF52840 with Wio SX1262. It keeps the installed bootloader, SoftDevice, identities, settings and Lua data. The main ZIP includes application-only UF2/BIN files, the inner Nordic DFU ZIP, source references, licences and relinking files.
Use the separate DFU ZIP with its signed update manifest for the host updater. Follow the field setup guide for installation. Do not erase InternalFS or QSPI or replace the bootloader to apply this update.
Command library 0.1.1
Command library 0.1.1 updates installation instructions for the unified tools/admin.py CLI.

Birch 0.1.4 includes the shared bot improvements for repeater commands, route discovery and monitoring.
- Reuse administrator sessions and known routes; repair routes through the shared radio connection when needed.
- Run repeater batches without fixed delays between targets. Safe reads can retry once; commands that may change a repeater are not automatically repeated after an uncertain reply.
- Use the unified
tools/admin.pyCLI for administration and program installation.
The Linux x86-64 bundle includes the host tools, matching Lua/Wasm worker, installer, source and dependency notices. Extract it and run python3 install-birch.py --prefix /path/to/new/version. Keep your existing configuration and state directory when switching versions. See the host guide.
Aspen 0.1.18
Aspen 0.1.18 improves remote repeater commands and brings node administration into one CLI.
!rcmdreuses administrator sessions and known routes. Route repair uses the command reply, and safe reads can retry once after a timeout.- Repeater batches and monitoring advance as soon as the shared radio is ready, without fixed delays between targets.
- Use
python3 tools/admin.pyfor node commands, Lua and Wasm installation, backups, telemetry and firmware updates. See the administration guide. - Password and backup inputs reject unsupported file types promptly instead of hanging on FIFOs.
Built on MeshCore 1.18.0 for Seeed XIAO ESP32-S3R8 with Wio SX1262. For an existing Aspen node, install the application image through the application update procedure to keep identities, settings and programs.
Aspen 0.1.16
Aspen 0.1.16 is based on MeshCore 1.18.0.
- Fixes interrupted state saves during HTTPS connection cleanup. Companion settings and channels keep their previous saved copy if a new save fails.
- Makes route replies easier to read with commas between repeater hops. TRACE replies include as many complete SNR measurements as fit the message.
- Improves command help, role status, discovery cooldowns and note/board confirmations.
- Clarifies dashboard values, admin controls and setup guides.
For Seeed XIAO ESP32-S3R8 with Wio SX1262. Existing nodes use the application update, which keeps identities, settings and installed programs. For a new node, use the browser installer.
