Sley 2.1.2 is a point release. It fixes Python-dialect tuple assignment to parameters, makes candidate handle exhaustion refuse instead of panic, reports which declared test limits the advisory runner applies, and adds the native test supervisor as source with its diagnostics and limits specified. Program meaning is unchanged.

Changes

  • Python dialect: a, b = b, a % b may reassign any parameter. 2.1.1 listed this but refused it (#39).
  • Candidate storage: saving after the last u64 handle is used returns AGENT_IO_FAILED and leaves existing records unchanged (#28).
  • Test reporting: try, test and status report the advisory TestCase execution policy. Declared fuel is applied; the other declared limits are reported as not applied. JSON gains test_execution_policy (#29).
  • Native test supervisor, source only: integrated in source (#23). Its 106 diagnostic symbols, nine startup causes and seven limits are specified, and its 28 previously unreached refusal paths are tested (#42). It is not in the archive and has not been qualified on an installed host. Committing a candidate that selects TestCases still refuses with TXN_TEST_EVIDENCE_UNSUPPORTED. Independent review of its security contracts is still advisable.
  • Project: contributor gate, release entry-point checks, scaling and authoring-cost reproducibility records, adoption roadmap, restored maintainer gates (#27, #33, #36–#38, #40–#42).

Kernel, SSMC1, SCB1, SMP1 rules, the instruction set, admission and commit semantics are unchanged. Four third-party crates are newly linked through sley-test-runner: nix, memoffset, bitflags and getrandom, all MIT or MIT/Apache-2.0. cargo audit reports no advisories.

Two maintainer checks, check_candidate_result_contract.py and check_transaction_contract.py, were waived for this release by operator decision. They need the Sley 2.0 master goal, which is unavailable off the maintainer host. This is not a pass; both passed at v2.1.1. The release notes give the full waiver and two record changes: the fuzz toolchain override, and the GA report's CLI-package status.
