Web Look — Attach live web pages as AI context

New feature in the DAUB Playground: paste any URL and get a screenshot + text content included as context in your AI conversation.

What's new

  • Link button — new labeled "Link" button in redesigned chat input bar
  • Redesigned input — three labeled buttons (Image, File, Link) on left, "Enter" hint on right
  • Textarea growth — input grows upward to 75% of chat panel height
  • Backend proxy (/api/weblook) — headless browser via Browserbase CDP WebSocket
  • Screenshot + text extraction — page title, up to 8k chars of content, JPEG screenshot
  • Attachment strip — web pages show as thumbnails alongside images and PDFs
  • Chat bubbles — globe icon + domain name chips for web attachments
  • Full context — web page text and screenshot injected into AI messages

Technical details

  • CF Workers WebSocket: fetch() with Upgrade: websocket header (wss:// → https://)
  • CDP target discovery: Target.getTargets + Target.attachToTarget with flatten:true
  • Top-level error safety net ensures JSON responses even on worker crash
