Waveo Mobile 2.2.0 introduces the new Sports Center, watched-content management, a redesigned TV guide, improved player controls, remote activation and major synchronization enhancements.
This release also makes navigation faster, strengthens backup and restore operations, and improves playlist compatibility.

🏟️ New Sports Center
The new Sports Center brings upcoming and live sporting events together in one dedicated screen.
You can now:
- Browse today’s events or explore upcoming days
- Filter events by sport
- Follow your favorite teams and players
- Search for a team or player
- Build a personalized For Me section
- Find available channels broadcasting an event
- Compare available channel quality and country
You can follow up to two teams or players and customize which sports appear in the application.
The Sports Center is available with Premium.
🔔 Sports Event Reminders
You can schedule a notification directly from an event inside the Sports Center.
Waveo will notify you on your phone 10 minutes before the event starts, helping you avoid missing an important match.
Notification permission must be enabled on your device.
✅ Mark Movies, Series, Seasons and Episodes as Watched
Waveo Mobile can now manage watched content in the same way as Waveo TV.
You can:
- Long-press a movie or series poster
- Use the Watched button from the movie or series details screen
- Long-press a season to mark the entire season as watched
- Long-press an episode to update that specific episode
- Mark any of these items as unwatched again
This provides more accurate progress tracking across your library.
👆 New Contextual Long-Press Menus
Long-pressing content now opens a contextual menu with the actions available for that item.
Depending on the content and current screen, you can:
- Add or remove it from favorites
- Add or remove it from a custom group
- Mark it as watched or unwatched
- Download it
- Remove it from your history
Long-pressing a group also provides quick access to actions such as renaming, hiding or managing that group.
📺 New TV Guide
A completely redesigned program guide is now used by default.
Its presentation is closer to the Waveo TV guide, providing a clearer overview of channels, programs and schedules.
If you prefer the previous layout, the Classic list remains available from the Live TV settings.
🔊 VOD Audio Synchronization
An audio-delay control has been added to the VOD player.
You can adjust the audio between -2000 ms and +2000 ms when sound and video are not perfectly synchronized.
The selected adjustment is remembered for the content and can be reset at any time.
💬 Subtitle Improvements
Subtitle support and customization have been improved in both players.
You can now personalize:
- Subtitle position
- Font
- Text color
- Opacity
- Background appearance
Available positions include bottom, center, top and a custom position that can be adjusted directly on the screen.
Live TV subtitle handling has also been improved, and the settings menus inside the TV and VOD players now use a clearer presentation.
🔗 Backup Server URLs
Playlists can now use multiple server addresses.
If the active server becomes unavailable, Waveo automatically tries the next address according to your configured priority.
The last working server remains active locally, reducing interruptions when a provider changes or temporarily disables one of its servers.
When the main server address changes, Waveo can also update the EPG address when both use the same server.
🌐 Custom DNS Provider
You can now select the DNS provider used by Waveo Mobile:
- System DNS
- Cloudflare
- Quad9
The selected provider is used for playlists, updates, program-guide requests and playback connections.
This can help when a provider address cannot be reached correctly through the device’s default DNS configuration.
🔑 Remote Premium Activation
Premium activation can now be managed remotely.
Activate your mobile device using:
- The Waveo Companion application
- Your account at waveo.tv/account
This makes activation easier when the device is not physically available or manual code entry is inconvenient.
☁️ Cloud Sync Group Customization
Cloud Sync can now include group organization and customization.
When enabled, Waveo can synchronize:
- Group names
- Group visibility
- Group order
- Custom groups
This helps maintain the same organization between compatible Waveo devices.
💾 Safer Backup and Restore
The backup and restore system has been improved with better validation, compatibility and recovery behavior.
Waveo now performs additional checks before applying restored data. If a restoration cannot be completed safely, the application protects the existing data instead of leaving the library in an incomplete state.
The overall backup and restoration interface has also been refined.
🧪 Experimental Stalker Portal Support
Waveo Mobile now supports Stalker/MAG portal playlists.
A portal can be imported using its server address and MAC address, with additional authentication details when required by the provider.
This feature is still experimental. Compatibility may vary between providers, and some functions may not yet behave exactly like standard M3U or Xtream playlists.
🔎 Faster Search and Navigation
Content search has been improved to provide more reliable results across your available playlists.
This release also includes:
- Faster playlist switching
- Faster screen loading
- Better handling of cached content
- Improved navigation responsiveness
- Smoother loading transitions
✨ Interface and Animation Improvements
New screen transitions have been introduced throughout the application.
On supported screens, the top and bottom navigation bars can now disappear while scrolling down and return when scrolling up, similar to applications such as X/Twitter.
This behavior can be enabled for portrait mode, landscape mode, both orientations, or disabled completely.
Waveo Mobile 2.2.0 also includes 20 new profile avatars and several refreshed interface elements.

Release Notes
Trakt Integration
Trakt is now available on Waveo Mobile.
Connect your Trakt account to synchronize movies, series, watchlists and viewing history. Trakt content can then be accessed directly from My Wave.
Important: Enabling Trakt automatically disables Waveo Cloud Sync for VOD if it was previously active. This prevents synchronization conflicts between the two services.
Trakt requires Premium access.
Skip Intros, Recaps and End Credits
IntroDB support has been added for series episodes.
When timing information is available, dedicated actions can appear during playback to let you:
- Skip an intro
- Skip a recap
- Move to the next episode
- Move to the next season
Availability depends on the information provided by IntroDB and may vary between series and episodes.
Manual Watched Status
Movies, series, seasons and individual episodes can now be marked as watched manually.
To mark content as watched:
- Movie: use the watched button at the top of the movie details screen.
- Series: use the watched button at the top of the series details screen.
- Episode: long-press its poster.
- Season: long-press its season number.
Watched badges are now displayed on movie and series cards, making completed content easier to identify while browsing.
New Contextual Action Menus
Contextual menus have been added to the main Movies, Series and TV screens.
Long-press a VOD poster or TV channel card to access the available actions. Depending on the content type, these may include:
- Add to a custom group
- Add to or remove from favorites
- Add to or remove from history
- Download content
- Mark content as watched
- Access additional content actions
This makes it possible to manage content without opening its details screen first.
Improved TV Group Navigation
Selecting a group from the main TV screen can now open all its channels in a dedicated vertical view.
This provides a clearer and more convenient way to browse larger channel groups.
Expanded Search Results
Movie and series results can now be opened in dedicated grid views.
From the search results, select the Movies or Series content type to display all matching results in a full grid.
Faster Access to Settings
A settings button has been added to the main:
- TV screen
- Movies screen
- Series screen
The most important preferences can now be reached without returning to the home screen.
New Playback and Interface Settings
Several new settings have been added:
- Choose the playback threshold for automatically moving to the next episode.
- Choose how much of a movie or episode must be played before it is considered watched.
- Configure and manage your Trakt account.
- Enable or disable IntroDB skip actions.
- Customize subtitle appearance.
Subtitle Appearance Customization
Subtitle appearance can now be customized to better match your screen and preferences.
Available options include:
- Text size
- Font
- Position
- Text color
- Text opacity
- Background style
- Background opacity
A preview makes it easier to check the selected appearance.
