WebSocket Stale Timeout Tuning
Pre-releaseRelease Date: May 15 2026
Type: Bug Fix
Fix: Spurious WebSocket Reconnects at Stable Peak Production
The stale connection timeout introduced in v2026.05.3 was set too aggressively. At stable peak production the PVS naturally sends WebSocket messages less frequently, with quiet periods of 60-70 seconds between notifications when power output is not changing significantly. The 60-second timeout was firing during these normal quiet periods, causing unnecessary reconnects and brief unavailable states in the history graph every minute or so.
The timeout has been adjusted to 90 seconds, which sits cleanly between the normal quiet period (60-70 seconds) and a genuinely stale connection (150+ seconds of silence). Spurious reconnects at peak production are eliminated while real stale connections are still caught and reconnected much faster than the original 180-second timeout.
