Breaking change

The former shared gdc/system/..., gdc/control/... and gdc/update/... topics have been replaced by the MAC-specific gdc/gdc-<mac-without-colons>/... tree. Migrate existing Homebridge mappings and manual Home Assistant YAML entities before upgrading.

Garage Door Controller 1.0.0

Highlights

• DHCP Ethernet with MQTT reconnect and retained system information, including the current IP address.
• Safe non-blocking 500 ms door-control pulses and correct opening/closing state reporting until an end position is reached.
• 20 ms D1/D3 input filtering prevents short Systembus transients and controller-originated pulse levels from being published as end positions.
• Optional environmental sensor handling, watchdog restart confirmation, and timers safe across millis() rollover.
• Local MQTT credentials now live in an ignored include/config_local.h; only the safe config_local.h.example template is tracked.

Validation

Host regression tests and the mkrzero-release build pass. Hardware validation covered DHCP/MQTT reconnect, local and MQTT travel in both directions, end positions, sensor reporting, retained restart, and input filtering.

Known limitation

Stop control is not implemented. Between end positions, D1/D3 cannot distinguish travel from a stopped door.
