@smkwray smkwray released this 27 Sep 15:02

Experimental controller downloads for Windows x64 and macOS Apple silicon.

Downloads and installation

  • Windows: keyferry-windows-x64.zip contains keyferry.exe, its background service, pairing helper, CLI, and install.ps1. Extract the complete ZIP; the app EXE alone is not a complete installation.
  • macOS: keyferry-macos-arm64.zip contains Keyferry.app, its bundled helpers, and install.sh. This download is for Apple silicon Macs.

Follow README.txt inside the extracted package for the installer steps. These controller downloads require a provisioned supported stick and an owner kit. Hardware preparation remains manual; see the repository's firmware guide. No firmware binaries or device credentials are included.

Included

  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth controller connections, with automatic forwarding through another authorized controller.
  • USB or Bluetooth keyboard output, plus USB mouse input.
  • A read-only, RAM-backed USB volume with up to 16 named files sharing 256 KiB on the qualified Waveshare-to-Windows path.
  • Per-device connection, display, keyboard, USB-file, and maintenance controls, with CLI access.

Preview limitations

Windows programs are unsigned. The macOS app is ad-hoc signed, without Developer ID signing or notarization. Local installation was tested; first launch after downloading from this public release has not been qualified. macOS may block first launch; follow Apple's guidance for opening a trusted app if you choose to approve it.

USB file handoff was physically tested on one Waveshare ESP32-S3-GEEK connected to Windows. LILYGO file capacity and macOS/Linux USB-volume behavior remain unqualified. File contents are volatile and disappear on reboot or connection reset.

Build identity and integrity

The archives retain build ID f8db7f9 in their VERSION files. Their program source matches this release tag; the subsequent source changes are documentation and comments only. These are the previously tested binaries, not newly compiled binaries from the release tag.

Both packages passed the private-data scan and all internal file checksums. Each ZIP contains SHA256SUMS for its contents.
