Install
- Download the MSI for your language —
Kwiet_0.2.3_x64_en-US.msi
orKwiet_0.2.3_x64_fr-FR.msi— and run it. - Choose Kwiet in Settings → Sound → your microphone → Audio
enhancements. Until you do, Kwiet is installed and inert: the panel
will tell you so, with a button to open the right page.
Windows 11 24H2 or newer, x64, microphone at 48 kHz.
About the signature
The effect pack is a driver package, and Windows only registers one
whose catalogue chains to a trusted root. Kwiet is signed with its own
self-signed key, so the installer adds that public certificate to
the machine's Trusted Root and Trusted Publishers stores before
registering the pack, and removes it again when you uninstall.
The certificate carries the Code Signing usage and nothing else, so it
cannot vouch for TLS certificates. The private key never ships. Even
so, it is a real grant of trust — a commercial code-signing
certificate, which chains to a root already present everywhere and
needs nothing added, is the cleaner answer and is on the list.
