  • devklean scan — discover cleanable directories with size reporting; supports --json
  • devklean clean — moves items to your OS trash (never rm -rf), with confirmation and interactive selection (-i)
  • devklean history — lists past cleanup operations
  • devklean doctor — detects and removes corrupt metadata
  • devklean <path> with no subcommand defaults to scan
  • Safety layer blocks deletion of root, home, system dirs, and symlinks
  • Large deletions (≥ 1 GiB) require typing DELETE
  • TOML config with project + global precedence
  • Supports Node.js, Next.js, Python, Rust, and more

Known limitations

  • Interactive mode (-i) is Linux/macOS only — depends on curses, unavailable on Windows
