v3.2.2
Release v3.2.2
Release Notes
This release adds support for ECDSA SSH keys, providing users with more flexible authentication options when connecting to remote servers.
Features
ECDSA SSH Key Support
- Added support for ECDSA SSH keys - DTail now automatically detects and uses
~/.ssh/id_ecdsakeys for authentication - This provides an alternative to RSA keys for users who prefer or require ECDSA for their SSH connections
- The authentication process remains transparent to users - DTail will automatically try available key types
Improvements
Enhanced Authentication Flow
- Improved SSH key detection - The client now checks for multiple SSH key types in sequence, providing better compatibility across different SSH configurations
- Better error handling - More detailed debug logging helps troubleshoot SSH authentication issues
Technical Details
The authentication method discovery now follows this order:
- RSA keys (
~/.ssh/id_rsa) - ECDSA keys (
~/.ssh/id_ecdsa) - newly added
This change maintains backward compatibility while expanding support for modern SSH key formats commonly used in enterprise environments.
Migration Notes
No action required - this is a backward-compatible enhancement. Existing RSA key configurations will continue to work as before.
