Release v0.10.1
Release Notes
Loadbars v0.10.1 adds new visual overlays for I/O monitoring and multi-host clarity, more intuitive hotkeys, and displays the GuestNice CPU metric.
New Features
- Global I/O average line (hotkey
i) — A 1px pink horizontal line showing the mean iowait + IRQ + softIRQ across all hosts, making it easy to spot I/O pressure at a glance. - Host separator lines (hotkey
s) — 1px yellow vertical lines drawn between hosts when monitoring multiple machines, so you can instantly see where one host's bars end and the next begins. - GuestNice CPU segment — The GuestNice metric is now visualized as a lime green segment in CPU bars, giving full visibility into virtualized workload overhead.
Improvements
- Hotkey aliases — Memory bars can now be toggled with
m(in addition to2) and network bars withn(in addition to3), making hotkeys easier to remember. - Persistent settings — The new
showioavglineandshowseparatorsoptions are saved/restored via~/.loadbarsrcwhen pressingw. - Code quality — Aligned codebase with Go best practices (ordering, style) and added comprehensive unit tests for all new features including I/O avg line rendering, separator drawing, hotkey toggling, and config round-trips.
No Breaking Changes
All existing hotkeys, config files, and command-line options continue to work as before.
