Bug fix to slow down clicker

from our initial test with mom, there was an issue that when we actually have to click in and focus into the app, which is a wasted click that doesn't want to be recorded. for mom's use case, this is not an issue so we will slow down the clicker so hopefully it will work because the initial click is in the same spot.

click4loop v0.1.0

click4loop automates repetitive clicking tasks by allowing users to record click and playing them back (infinitely if they so choose).

1. download click4loop dmg from the releases below

2. double click the dmg, then drag click4loop into your applications
   

3. when you try to open click4loop, it will give a warning that it cannot be verified.

4. open click4loop then press "Start Recording", it will bring up this alert, saying that click4loop needs accessibility permissions to work.
   

5. the screen should open at Privacy & Security's Accessibility page. click the + button.
   

6. it will bring up a window to select an application, select click4loop by double clicking; this will grant
   

7. verify that click4loop is in the list
   
   this was inspired because my mother in law spends 10-15 hours a week (low estimate honestly) clicking on her iPhone to get her yoga classes.

8. now we're ready to use click4loop!
   

usage:
Starting a recording session

1. Click "Start Recording", click4loop will hide itself
2. Click in the desired places on the screen
   
3. Press spacebar to stop recording, click4loop will show up again
   

Play a recording session

1. Once a recording session is saved, we can now play it back
   
2. Press "Start Playback". click4loop will begin playing the click session back.
3. To loop a recording so it will go indefinitely, you can check the "Loop Playback" checkbox so it looks like this
   
4. You can stop the looping of a recording by pressing the Spacebar and it will bring back click4loop with a popup telling you how long the playback was.
   

Motivations:
she goes to class 9 - 10 times a week, which makes her "priority" for getting a class really low. the yoga system releases classes 2 days before and the class is in really high demand, so the system prioritizes people who go less frequently.
e.g. if a class has 40 spots and 50 people click for the class at the moment the class is released, the 40 people who go to yoga the least will receive the class, even if they were not the 40 fastest to click.
so my mother in law has to manually click for her classes in the hopes that someone will randomly drop the class.
i couldn't believe how much time she was spending clicking for classes (almost every idle moment)... so i decided to help her by first figuring out how to set up an auto-clicker pieced together by using MacOS Automator.
In MacOS Automator, we combine the "Watch Me Do" action + "Loop" to click infinitely, which was working really well until we found out that after a certain amount of loops, the clicking slows down significantly because of a memory leak with the "Loop" action.
This required my mother in law to reset the clicker every 1-2 hours, so make sure the clicking was "fast". Resetting the clicker was also a hassle because there's not a reliable way to stop MacOS Automator once it begins looping.

I built this app in hopes that that the memory leak problem will be solved as tauri + rust should be very performant, so that my mother in law can click away in peace. ❤️

hopefully, this can help someone else.

2025-3-15: as of right now, this only works on ARM64 macbooks because I haven't figured out how to set up the tauri github action yet.
