What it does

  • New on streaming: movies that came out digitally in the last 120 days and are on a subscription service in your country now (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Max, Hulu and the rest)
  • Scores: Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer, IMDb, Metascore and TMDB, on seven-segment readouts
  • The details: age rating, runtime, genres, director, cast, synopsis and which services carry it
  • Sort by Tomatometer, newest, popular, IMDb, Metascore, title or runtime. Filter by genre, service, minimum score, age rating (up to PG, up to PG-13…), runtime and what's already in your library
  • Trailers: a VCR-style reel of each movie's stills, plus a QR code that opens the real trailer on your phone
  • Radarr (optional): press X (● REC) on any movie to add it to your Radarr. Rewind shows what you already have and download progress
  • Opens instantly from the SD card and refreshes in the background

Install

  1. Download Rewind-v0.3.0-OnionOS.zip below.
  2. Extract it and copy the App folder to the root of your SD card, merging it with the existing App folder.
  3. Get a free TMDB API key and a free OMDb key (for Rotten Tomatoes scores). Copy App/Rewind/config.example.json to App/Rewind/data/config.json and paste them in. If you open Rewind without keys, it shows QR codes for both sign-up pages.
  4. Open Apps → Rewind with Wi-Fi on. The first load takes about a minute.

To use Radarr, add radarr_url and radarr_api_key to the same file. See the README.

Requires OnionOS 4.2 or newer and Wi-Fi (Miyoo Mini Plus or Mini Flip).

🤖 Built by Claude (Anthropic) for @snyderman3000. Movie data from TMDB (this product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB), streaming availability from JustWatch, scores from OMDb. Please report problems in Issues and include App/Rewind/data/rewind.log.
