The discovery index gzip archives are not byte-reproducible across Node/zlib versions, so the old --check (local Node 26 vs CI Node 22) failed on every run.
Now CI rebuilds the index and commits any changes on main ([skip ci]); the plugin --check (plain files, reproducible) is kept as a drift guard.
