Mmseq does not cluster: Segmentation fault (core dumped)  #928

@loopersosa

Description

@loopersosa

Expected Behavior

I am new to this.

The mmseqs easy-cluster command should successfully cluster the sequences in the provided FASTA file (cdr_sequences.fasta) without crashing.

Current Behavior

The mmseqs easy-cluster command fails with a segmentation fault (core dumped) and the following errors:

Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Error: Prefilter step 0 died
Error: Search died

##MMseqs Output (for bugs)
The complete output of the mmseqs command is:

Time for index table init: 0h 0m 0s 385ms
Process prefiltering step 1 of 1

k-mer similarity threshold: 154
Starting prefiltering scores calculation (step 1 of 1)
Query db start 1 to 2979
Target db start 1 to 2979
Segmentation fault (core dumped)                                  ] 0.00% 1 eta -
Error: Prefilter step 0 died
Error: Search died

Context

I am trying to cluster sequences from a FASTA file (cdr_sequences.fasta) using mmseqs as part of a larger script for processing antibody sequences. The segmentation fault occurs during the prefiltering step.
