Stable release with React Native 0.88 (Expo SDK 58) support?

Hi! Expo SDK 58 (released Oct 15) ships React Native 0.88. According to the compatibility table, 1.1.x supports up to RN 0.86, and only the nightly / 1.2.x (next) support 0.87. 0.88 isn't listed yet, and latest on npm is still 1.1.1.

We use the library in production (Expo, iOS + web) and would like to upgrade to SDK 58 without shipping a nightly. Two questions:

1. Is a stable 1.2.0 planned soon?
2. Will it support RN 0.88, or is 0.88 expected to work already since it has no breaking changes over 0.87?

Happy to test a nightly on RN 0.88 / SDK 58 and report back if that helps. Thanks for the great library!

Hey, thanks for opening this discussion.

1. 1.2.0 release is planned for this week.
2. Our compatibility table is based on versions of React Native that we have tested ourselves. It’s highly likely that RN 0.88 will work out of the box. However, we haven’t tested it yet, so the table hasn’t been updated. We should be able to mark RN 0.88 as officially supported soon - perhaps even this week.

I replaced the React imports with the following to fix build issues with Expo SDK 58 and RN 0.88:

+ #import <React/UIView+React.h>

Applied to 5 files in react-native-enriched-html.
