This is a maintained fork of archagon/sensible-side-buttons, the original macOS menu bar utility by Alexei Baboulevitch for mapping mouse side buttons to system navigation gestures.

The updated app bundles are substantially smaller than the original Intel app: about 690 KB for the Apple Silicon build and about 804 KB for the Universal build, compared with about 1.3 MB for the original Intel release.
Important
These binaries are signed with an Apple Development certificate but are not notarized. macOS Gatekeeper may require right-clicking the app and choosing Open on first launch.

- Reworked the app entry point in Swift/AppKit while preserving the menu bar utility behavior.
- Updated the app version and bundle identity for this fork.
- Enabled Hardened Runtime for distribution builds.

- Preserved the original side-button behavior: mouse side buttons synthesize system navigation swipes.
- Updated deprecated timing APIs used by the touch event shim.
