Is Soketi maintained?

I see that the last release was made on March 25, 2025. Just wanted to ask if there are any plans now or in future to continue maintaining this project and if we can expect releases in future?

Great question. Soketi has been invaluable to the community, but based on the activity it does look like maintenance has slowed significantly.

If anyone here is looking for an actively maintained alternative, I've been building Apinator [https://apinator.io] — a Pusher-compatible real-time server with a similar architecture (Go backend, multi-region, Redis pub/sub). It's completely free, and has server SDKs for Node, Python, Go, and PHP — so migration from Soketi should be straightforward.

How is this an "alternative" if it doesn't support self hosting?

@chanhyokpark if you need self hosting in that case I can give access to the Apinator repository and then you can deploy it self hosted on multiple multi region instances for HA then it will be 1:1 with Apinator

withnout selfhosting it isnt an alternative

The last release was actually March 25, 2024.

We heavily relied on it, so it's a great shame that it's fallen dormant and no longer works on modern servers (Only supports Node 16).

We switched to https://github.com/sockudo/sockudo which is a drop-in replacement for Soketi built in Rust.
