Extract anywhere and double-click CodexTokenOverlay.exe. The release is self-contained and does not require PowerShell, the .NET runtime, or the .NET SDK.
解压到任意位置后双击 CodexTokenOverlay.exe；发布版不需要 PowerShell、.NET Runtime 或 .NET SDK。

Highlights / 主要功能

  • Follows the task currently selected in Codex Desktop, including idle tasks.
  • Displays total, input, output, cache-hit, derived cache-miss, reasoning, and context usage.
  • Selectable fields, tray controls, click-through overlay, and automatic window attachment.
  • Reads local session logs only; no telemetry, upload, or network API.
  • Automatically uses %CODEX_HOME%\sessions or %USERPROFILE%\.codex\sessions.

Compatibility / 兼容性

Windows only. This is an unofficial community project that depends on Codex Desktop internal IPC and JSONL session formats, which may change in future Codex releases. Token values are not billing or authoritative ChatGPT plan usage.
