Is it ever worth "isolating" an immutable store?

EDIT: I found the crux of my confusion.

This surprised me:

const state1 = [1];
const state2 = [1, 2];

const [store, set] = createStore(state1);

set(reconcile(state2));
set(reconcile(state1)); // revert

console.log(JSON.stringify(store));
// [1,2]
// what?!

Turns out I shouldn't call createStore with state1 and then later try to reconcile state1 back in.

This gives me the expected result:

const state1 = [1];
const state2 = [1, 2];

const [store, set] = createStore(
  //cloned initial state
  structuredClone(state1)
);

set(reconcile(state2));
set(reconcile(state1)); // revert

console.log(JSON.stringify(store));
// [1]
