I tried installing the latest sonic-broadcom.bin file on a Quanta LY6 x86 switch running the Broadcom Trident 2 chip.
As far as I see, the Broadcom Trident 2 chip is supported for a range of switches, but when installing I get the following error:
"The image you're trying to install is of a different ASIC type as the running platform's ASIC". This error sounds very strange given that I tried the Broadcom binary on a Broadcom device.
Is this in fact a Broadcom Trident 2 issue or an issue with error handling?
